Unfortunately, my current schedule doesn’t enable me to patronize this fine establishment as often, but the quality and the execution of the menu choices always satisfies! Let’s not forget the professional and personal service provided by Katia, who makes the dining experience memorable! Everything is freshly made to order and while you are waiting for your main course to arrive, you are treated to a warm, large Pita along with their homemade garlic sauce. While I have appreciated many of their menu selections, my favorite and their unique offering is their Mediterranean Salad with Chili Shawarma. It offers great taste and texture that you don’t often encounter in a non white table cloth restaurant. Also, I would like to also mention Shamina, who is a welcoming congenial host, which makes Almadina a must visit for your future dining pleasure! Very Highly Recommended!

If you like a clean, quiet setting, with soft piano music in the background, where you can easily socialise, excellent food, this is the place for you. I tried the quinoa taboulee salad with an added lamb skewer (very good), the Egyptian Tea (out of this world! my favourite tea!), and Baklava (mmm- lovely). This is my go-to restaurant.

Nice restaurant with good food. The pitas are fresh-baked and come with homemade garlic hummus - very tasty. Their pizzas are excellent, oven baked, flavourful tomatoe sauce and fresh vegetables. Little deli area where you can get pita chips or their various sauces/ hummus to go. Great service and prices.

We had chicken shawarma pitas and a side of fries that were an extra 5 dollars for a very small portion. The pitas were very bland and the fries were rubbery / under cooked. This is the second time we were unhappy in the last couple of months so we won’t be back.

Two of my friends and I met here on August 2 for lunch. The patio has nice seating and umbrellas however no greenery. We ordered the Falafel salad bowls which have to be ordered inside as they do not have servers on the patio. We were served the food in takeout containers. The food was really good and such a nice variety. I am vegan and they were able to accommodate me to make it vegan. My one concern is that they have no recycling. All of the customers just dumped their paper and plastic into the garbage pail that's located on the patio. It wouldn't take much for them to add recycle options. I took all of my recycling packaging home just because I think it's terrible that all of this is going to the land waste. That being said we had a wonderful meal and one of the employees came out to find out how everyone was doing out there and whether there was anything she could bring us. That was a nice touch!

We ordered 2 Chicken and 2 Beef Pita wraps, juice and 4 Baklava for pick-up. The food was ready on time and the service was good. The chicken wraps were delicious, tender and neatly presented however the beef in the beef wraps although delicious had quite a bit of gristle in it. The Baklava was the better than the baklava we had in Israel. A1 Another amazing feature is the use of paper bags for the wraps with waxed paper surround and large paper bags for the whole order.

Been a very satisfied regular for years because of the excellent cuisine, value and fine service! Shamina is very genial host who always makes you feel welcome and Katia provides outstanding, personalized service while dining at this fine restaurant. While I was happy to dine on the patio and take out during this crisis, I was happy to dine in last week. The menu is vast(posted) and there are daily luncheon specials(posted). The freshly baked pita and garlic sauce are always a delicious starter. This day, I opted for a Mediterranean Salad with Twok. The salad was fresh, crisp with veggies, cheese and olives topped with a tasty dressing. The grilled chicken cubes were delicately seasoned, moist, tender and enjoyable! They are open seven days a week and are conveniently located in the Boardwalk with plenty of parking. Please patronize this wonderful middle eastern restaurant and like me you will most certainly become a regular satisfied customer! Very Highly Recommended!

Came here a 2nd time for takeout food. One of our go to take out arabic food spots. The manaeesh dishes are good, this time we ordered the sampler plate which was really good. The pita chips are very tasty and slightly tough to stop. Definitely get the pita chips when in store. Staff is friendly, service quick and a fun experience. Good options available for vegetarians.

We came for lunch and ordered one of the daily specials - the falafel pita wrap with lentil soup as the side. The server brought us some kind of bread and red pepper hummus, which was nice. The pita wrap was average in size and I must say I like the falafel pita at Pita Pit better. Not sure what the falafel is made from at Pita Pit, and of course there you build your own wrap, but at Almadina they use chickpeas, fava beans and herbs. The lentil soup was good. Service was average to fair. Prices average to high. I can't say I'd rush back.

Picked up food at the restaurant before heading to waterloo park. Ordered the manaeesh pizzas - akawi cheese and spinach & feta cheese. Both were very tasty and definitely worth visiting for a second time. They have good options for vegetarians. Staff were friendly and helpful and service was quick.

The good: place seems clean, vegs are fresh, food isn't overly greasy or salty. Free bread to start. Nothing burnt. Waitress very cheery & friendly, plus being more focused on cleaning floor during dinner than bringing bill, or receipt, gives the place a real casual vibe. Not as impressive : wrap for $14 is small & minimalist: a few small bites of serviceable meat in it, nearly all lettuce, about a tablespoon of tomato slices & 2 or 3 small bits of pickled (the standard neon pink) turnip, all doused in something runny like an aoli. Falls apart easily. Left me kind of hungry. $5 more also got about a cup of fresh tabouleh with almost no bulgar in it, & a little plastic takeout bin of hummus-sauce: edible, but I'm guessing a watered-down hummus-flavoured commercial salad dressing. I'm not much into fast food but have to admit any pita pit = half the price for twice the food, equally healthy, way better hummus & sauces, 5-10x the fresh fillings. It's not even a contest. Maybe there are better items on the menu. They do have poutine, in case you're into Quebec cuisine.

I brought my father to Almadina for his birthday. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate him. Katia was the absolute best, best, best server I’ve ever had (and all my closest friends are in the service industry!)!!! She celebrated my father like she was part of our family — with the most genuine kindness and warmth. As though the hospitality wasn’t enough, the food matched the feeling. It was so fresh, flavorful, and plentiful! I’m not a big foodie, but I savoured every bite. My father said it was the best birthday meal he’d ever had. Life is so short; time with my sweet father these days are treasured. His birthday lunch at Almadina will be a cherished memory for the rest of my life.

I have been going to this restaurant for 30 years and it's changed hands a few times. I went in about a month ago and they had a "new " person working the front and she tried to over charge me for an item that I order once a week to go. I tried to explain it to her and she literally would not listen so I left without it. I went back the next week and told one of the other girls and she was not very polite and she put in the order. Two days ago I went back and guess who was at the front? I ordered the spinach feta triangle and she made it obvious she was not happy to see me. Began speaking Arabic to the others and they all started laughing. I got home and it was an extremely tired flattened out stale one and usually it comes with garlic sauce, this time it has humus. Mistake? I'll let you judge. It's very hit and miss with the quality of the food in general now. I had stomach issues twice after eating the food. But really it's the blatant abuse from the staff there they has ensured not only will I never step a foot in there again, I will make sure to tell everyone I know about my experience. They don't deserve to be in business treating customers this way. There are enough other choices and locations of middle Eastern food in this area. While I admit their garlic sauce is wonderful, it's not worth being bullied to get a meal. When the quality of food is such that they bring you a flattened out piece of stale food from the fridge and then customer service has boiled down to bullying, you cannot support this in any fashion. The old Al Medina had wonderful owners, so kind and gracious and the food was up to snuff. This is mediocre food now with service that should not be tolerated by anyone.
