I try to get to Phillips Shawarma whenever I am in the area but that is sadly not too often anymore. Have tried the shawarma plate, shawarma wrap and various kebab plates as well. Especially love the mixed plate. Have never been disappointed with a...meal. Run by a hardworking family that always treats me well. If I could make one suggestion it would be to serve the shawarma fresh cut from the skewer as people order it and not cut earlier and kept in a steam table.More

There is always something very special, at least to me, of finding myself in a Levantine family owned restaurant. The warmth of the welcome is always palpable and the concern for your enjoyment is sincere. The lentil soup is excellent, the kibbeh are just what...you want them to be, the hummus is thick and tangy, the tabbouleh has no bulgar filler at all, just bright and green, the rice is fluffy and long and the shawarma tastes of the grill and careful seasoning. Well away from the bustle of the heart of U of Waterloo campus, this is a spot worth the extra few minutes to find you way toward.More

Had a chicken shawarma for lunch. It was "okay" but certainly not great. The pita was not fresh. The chicken was served from a steam table (again, not fresh like most places have), and there wasn't as much meat as you get at other places....The veggies and garlic sauce was good. So, basically, okay but nothing special. There are other shawarma places close by that are fantastic, so I doubt I will be returning.More

I have to say that my family has been getting takeout from here for years now. The owners are so nice! And their falafel plates are wonderful. Portions are huge and there is always food left over for snacks. They have recently opened another storefront...in the Superstore plaza at Highland and Fischer-Hallman - we have tried it once and it too was wonderful. Patronize these hardworking people!More

Amazing Shawarma, best I've had. Yet to have Shawarma Plus but nothing compares to their shawarma poutine

This place used to be an Arabesque Express, and I'm so glad it's changed! (I don't care what anyone says-- Arabesque does NOT make a good Shawarma.) Service: The owner is super nice and is happy to accommodate special requests. The kind of guy you...really want to succeed with his business. Venue: Always seems clean. Usually we get takeout, but there is some seating too. Food: Delicious! Produce is always fresh, no skimping on the meat. I can vouch for the shawarma sandwich, Lebanese salad, fatoosh, borak, and baklawa. I usually get the hot and garlic sauces. Nice selection of drinks too.More
