Celebrating a special occasion, we decided to have Chinese food and chose the Man Ling Restaurant. It's a small venue with only 3 or 4 tables and a booming take out business. The food is well made and has great flavours. We've ordered take out from Man Ling a few times and the food never disappoints. It isn't the authentic food you would find in China but as Canadian-Chinese food goes, it's excellent. The service is excellent although they were sadly understaffed. Oddly, in spite of the unemployment rate, they cannot attract reliable employees which has meant that they have had to close for a night periodically for lack of staff. The waitress is the manager/host/take out order receiver and waitress. She has a great personality and provides service with a smile. This is a place we recommend.

The only place we order chinese food from. Everything is good and really fresh. Can never not order the house fried rice!

Went with the family, the Chinese food there is to die for, it’s so nice to be able to get Chinese without MSG as well! I had the Cantonese chow mein, I’ve not ever had better! Service was prompt and friendly, food was fresh and cooked perfectly! Thank you!

You should probably mention that they only have eat in dining of Friday and Saturday! Can be frustrating for travelers.

My in-laws are from Smith Falls and had us over for Chinese take-out to celebrate my father in-laws birthday. Was really good excited for supper until I opened the take out container and saw a a lump of sloppy white mash where my fried rice should have been, it tasted worse than it looked. The chicken balls, spare ribs, and other dishes all seemed as they were prepared in a rushed fashion a day or two earlier and then reheated as ordered. I ate roughly 1/4 of my meal before throwing in the towel, normally I would have pushed through to save face and be polite but I really thought that I would be sick if I continued. It makes me so angry that my in-laws paid substantial money for what I would consider to be inedible food. Sorry for the rant but hopefully someone will read this and save their money and stomach from such abuse.

We ordered vegetable fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls, egg rolls, spring rolls. We had red wine and green tea with the meal. Ended up taking 1/2 home for a meal the next day and still had some left over for my sister to partake.

A great find in downtown Smiths Falls off the main street, recommend taking the time to find it. It was a rainy Saturday afternoon & we were the only people in there. The decor is nice & a friendly hostess looked after us. We each had a combination dinner which allowed us 2 dish choices in addition to set fried rice (very tasty) & egg roll. We each different items & enjoyed them. Overall, great service & meal & will go back sometime when we're in town, recommend trying it.

We have been there 3 or 4 times al year, our first visit was so good we have ordered the same thing at every visit.
Chicken Soo Gut (lemon chicken), Chop Suey and rice. Delicious.

Have lived in Asia. For prices hoped it to be comparable. Some dishes yes. Beef and broccoli. Proper fried rice. Spare ribs. Shrimp. But didn’t blow me away. Nice staff. 🍤🥠

On a recent trek back from Kingston to Ottawa, we made our customary stop at the Man Ling for some delicious Chinese food. Their egg rolls are fantastic. The food is served fresh and hot, and the service is efficient and friendly. My husband loves the seafood veggie mix dish. I always get the combo with chicken balls and beef and broccoli. We have never been disappointed here.

I ordered the combination plate of chicken balls, honey garlic spare ribs and chicken fried rice. The portions were generous (could have fed two people) and the food was fresh and tasty. Waited for my order for under 10 minutes. Very friendly service. Nice décor with very limited tables. Licensed. Would definitely go back...this time eat in.

I went with my partner. It is a small very clean restaurant in downtown Smiths Falls. We ordered a selection of various menu items. Took a while to arrive but that is a sign that it is made fresh. The egg rolls were plump and juicy, we had ordered 2 each but in hindsight we would have ordered only 1 each...they were BIG!!! The fried rice was a disappointment as it was very bland, the beef and broccoli was piping hot and fresh as was the chicken soo guy. Both delicious. Definitely a place to try.
