We've been to this restaurant several times and again yesterday we met a European friend(Maaja) there for lunch. It is very cosy, the variety of selections on the menu is Awesome, the portions are generous, the desserts are not to be missed.The owners are Czech, they run a great restaurant and the service is prompt and friendly. It is not licensed but they do have a non alcoholic German beer available.Having already been to Prague twice, we knew what to expect as far as Eastern European fare is concerned...well done Ivana and family!!

The food and server were excellent, however…
The restaurant is not licensed to serve alcohol, they do not take reservations after 6:30 pm and it takes a long time to get your food. We waited just shy of 1 hour to receive our order, 15 minutes to take the order and 45 to prepare it. When I brought it to the attention of the server she thought that was a normal amount of time to wait.
If you have the time, don’t care to eat late and are ok with no alcoholic beverages, the food is great.

I did previously enjoy this restaurant a few times, with a friends who was a "regular", and couldn't go anywhere else to get his wiener schnitzel. Yesterday, we were about 20 to enjoy the food. Most took the wiener schnitzel, some with sauerkraut, red cabbage and/or dumpling, and also the famous Madras soup. Filling and delicious. Cooks and service were just amazing to serve us all in no time. There were no much space in our stomachs for desserts, but the owner offered to take out their fabulous home made apple strudel.

My Husband and a friend had a lovely lunch yesterday, July 19, at My Place.
My Madras soup was delicious ( never had it before). It was a delight to be back after 4 years and it was just as good as I had remembered it!
The server was excellent; she heard us talking about our it being our friend's birthday and when his pecan pie was brought out it sported a candle
and she led the whole restaurant in singing "Happy Birthday" to him - what a delight! Thank you!
Looking forward to our next visit soon!

We enjoyed a family gathering to celebrate a special birthday and all 7 people ordered the Bohemian Schnitzel, which is a family favorite. Meal is very large with 2 pieces of pork so be sure to save some for takeout in order to have a wonderful dessert. Great food and great service every time we visit.

One of my very favourite restaurants and still the best in the area for Eastern European food! Have had the wonderful schnitzels in the past and last night had two of the three different goulashs offered. I had the Szekely Goulash with a light gravy and sour cream and dumplings which was fantastic! My partner had the classic Hungarian goulash which was also incredible. We also saw a lot of very yummy looking fish and chip platters going by which we will be back to try in the near future!
The atmosphere is always very cozy and the service always stellar. I highly recommend reservations, we were there on a Saturday night and the place was packed!

We chose this restaurant based on other reviews
It is indeed a good place. A nit small, it reminded me of a small village restaurant. But the food is great,very tasty and huge portions. None of our family members were able to eat all their food. I would have definitely taken the rest of my food as take out if I were not staying in a hotel for the night.
Lots of variety food at reasonable prices. You won't be disappointed if you choose to go and try it out yourselves.

The food is always fresh and homemade. The Prague schnitzel is my fave and pretty much any desert is amazing but I love the mocha cake. Definitely recommend it. The only downside is the hours. They have been a stellar business for many many years in smiths falls.

We took advice of past travellers and were not disappointed. This cheap & cheerful establishment was a delight. Three of us shared a goulash & a Bohemian schnitzel and left full!
Our server was informative and proud of her family’s business. She knew they deserved the #1 rating on Trip Advisor. We couldn’t agree more!

Great night out for authentic European cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Handmade desserts (cheese cake was our favorite), we each ordered something different from the menu and enjoyed our meals.

The service is also excellent
You can wait a bit longer for your plate but it will be served hot and good
They don't serve alcohol and I'm not sure if you can bring your own wine
