The side salad that came out with the burrito was crisp and extremely fresh. It was also very tasty. This is particularly impressive given that we went in at 9:08 and they were closing at 9:30. Lots of restaurants make you feel like some sort of a criminal when you go in that close to closing but these guys were fantastic. I ordered the chicken burrito on the advice of the waitstaff and it was fabulous. One of the things that they do that is very cool is they provide the sour cream in a ketchup squirt bottle. That keeps the sour fresh and ensures that you always have enough sour cream. My wife and daughter had the fajitas and they were also delicious by all accounts. The food was delicious but I found that the entree was a tad pricey. And that is the only thing that kept me from giving this a five star review.

This restaurant is in a strip mall and not fancy, but the food is amazing.
Fresh, tasty and cooked perfectly.
The burritos were large, the outside was crispy while the inside was flavourful and hot.
The chicken tacos were perfect.
Appetizer nacho plate was full, crispy and filling.
The margaritas were big and many flavours to choose from
The place is very busy, and there is live entertainment on Friday evening
They have an outside patio that we will try this summer

Casual fare, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food selections offer authentic introduction to Mexican cuisine and will take you back to memories of your trips to Mexico and other Latin nations. Lealah was our delightful serve, her knowledge of the menu presented us with options we hadn't considered. We are glad we followed her suggestions. Yumm yum! Will be returning to Mexican Amigos in Richmond Hill, Ontario very soon!

Mexican amigos used to one of most favorite places. However since Covid, the take out service and food quality has declined considerably. I tried to order 4 beef burritos of which only one of the orders I received was almost correct. Three of the orders had few to no toppings leaving us with only rice and beef wrapped in a tortilla. The tortilla which had scant toppings had medium sauce on only half the burrito as well. It was extremely disappointing since this restaurant used to be so good. The server did not seem to understand English even though I repeated my order several times with my son watching. It was quite clear to both of us that she did not understand how to take the order which was pretty simple. It was 4 beef burritos, all the same except one with no beans and all the toppings on every burrito opposite of what I received. The restaurant was empty so it wasn't because they were busy. It was a frustrating and very disheartening experience since we make it a point to support local businesses during these trying times. I wont be going back there and will support local businesses that can provide better service.

Been here before and service and food were very very good
Not so much this time
Food was mediocre at best.
Sat outside which was ok until rain storm happened. Cannot control Mother Nature but the tent area is open on the ends so the rain and wind were not welcome.
Not attempt by staff to move anyone I guess because of Covid
The food was overcooked so the nachos were dry and burnt as well as the faichitas.
Service was ok
Drinks were not good at all
A slushy margarita should not be watery.

Service was very slow and awkward. It was like the servers didn't know what they were doing or how to serve. When i finally placed my order and received my food , it was quite good. Location isn't the best, end of a strip mall at the corner of 2 busy streets, so i opted to eat inside instead of outdoor patio.

I had such a great experience dining at this restaurant.
The food was great, the place looked good and special thanks to Yasi who immediately greeted the costumers at the bar and helped me understand the place better.

This was out first time and we were very happy. We went to Mexican amigos for a Sunday lunch. It was not very busy and were sat immediately on the patio. The service was quick and friendly. Yasaman was our server and what I really liked about her was that when my 7 year old nephew ordered she spoke directly to him with his options for sides and how it was served. Most servers immediately look to the parents for clarification and she was so sweet and really gave him confidence and allowed him autonomy.
We ordered multiple items and each of them were very good. My 14 year old son highly recommends the burrito! Items came out cooked properly, with no mistakes and drink service was quick and replenishments were also offered in a timely manner. Would totally recommend.

Went for dinner tonight with my family - two of us Celiac - Menu is loaded with references for gluten free options - Great. We wanted to start with nachos and guacamole - ask specifically is the chips fried? The server checked - 'no they are not'. The nachos arrived looked great and the gauc was fresh and tasty.....About 3 or 4 chips in two chips are stuck together with oil - we stop eating and question the server again. They questioned the kitchen staff and low and behold they had been wrong earlier - they are in fact fried. We wait now for the out come of the cross contamination.....
Other feedback - the live music is a nice touch - but very very loud. The service despite our issue, was fast, responsible and accommodating....The kitchen was the issue. Please check and double check for a successful evening!

I know have been living in Richmond hill since i was a baby i have try some of Mexican at Mexican amigos the tacos are 40/50 The staff that worked there are super kind and respectful they even live entertainment but i never go there because i am minor the place looks ok but not like Made in Mexico's

Quiet on a weeknight and hockey on all the big screen TVs. My friend and I just sat at the bar and had a couple of pints each, not a meal. Came to about $30. The diners seemed happy.

Enjoyed our dinner. Only negative was that I couldn’t add heat level for my fajitas. Was weird because other dishes had this option. Also no hot sauce offered or on table. Otherwise it was good food and live Mexican music for background on a Friday night.

We stopped in on a Saturday night, place was packed so we waited at the bar for a table. Had great service at the bar, moved to a table after about 15 minutes, sat at our table for about another 20 minutes before we were given menus, another 15 to order, 30 minutes to get our appetizers, 15 more for main course. I eventually got our servers attention and ordered a drink, when she finally brought it I was done my meal and used the opportunity to ask for the bill or I may still be there today. Food was ok, anyone who says it is authentic Mexican has not eaten authentic Mexican. Based on the level of service and quality of food we won't be back. Hostess was great, she did her job very well and never stood still the whole time we were there, very hard worker.

My wife and I have eaten at the restaurant many times, and have enjoyed it thoroughly every time. In fact, it's the only Mexican restaurant she will go to, because it's authentic.
When my wife turned 50 she wanted the catering to be done here, and we weren't disappointed. Puya was great to deal with, and was accommodating. The price was right, and everybody said that the food was fantastic. There was so much of it!!
Thank-you very much for providing great food for her party.
