Our family of 4 very much enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant while visiting Pembroke for the day. The soup special was bean and bacon, which I wouldn't normally like, and it was outstanding. Savoury crepes were flavourful and the sweet crepes were devoured. Strongly...recommended.More
I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. But considering I've travelled to other continents (quebec doesnt count haha) to bask in the glory that is the crepe I would not be an honest person if I said that the experience here was...anything short of subpar. Not at best. Because the presence FOH donnes is anything but hospitable.. the feature specialty is a pancake the french forgot about. The love and passion in the design menu is absent. 2 stars for the drizzle I tasted genuine truffle.More
Met a soccer teamate who lives in Idaho US and another soccer friend. I like the creperie because it feels safe. The seats are a good distance from each other. The crep was tasty. It had chicken, brie, asparagus and apricot chutney. The salad was...fresh. Service was excellent. The servings are large. My friend is GF. Great buckwheat crepes! Atmosphere is relaxing and chique.More
Waitress was great, atmosphere was prefect . 1st time there, friends of mine enjoy this little jem and took myself and another friend of ours that flew in from N.S. food was great definitely an unique restaurant. But I found the prices just a bit...over the top. Little too expensive but for girls night out we had a great time.More
Wonderful spot, read the great reviews on TripAdvisor, sure didn't dissapoint. Had a delicious berry compote crepe, it was spectacular. Also had French onion soup and salad, equally delicious. Beautiful environment, love the exposed walls and high ceilings, very cool. Best part of all though...was the service. Greeted promptly and warmly, then the server at our table was friendly, warm, and ensured we were well looked after. Next time we visit this town, we will be back. Thanks for the wonderful experience.More
Very poor service and extremely bad wine. I was sitting on their front patio on a rainy day, the canopy kept receding and my food started to get wet. The waitress said it was automatic when the sky clears, but the second canopy stayed in...place. The order took a long time and the red wine was very sour and almost transparent. Very pricey fir the quality. Also the waitress was not friendly at all and never came to ask if the food was ok. I had to wait and wait for the waitress to come and take my payment.More
I am rating this review best to worst. 5 ⭐️ excellent drink Rhubarb strawberry lemonade. 4 ⭐️ restaurant ambience & dessert - chocolate tart very good! 3 ⭐️ lunch “Leo” value & our server, (they gave my lunch to the table beside us) which was...likely not his fault but might have contributed to my final ratings. 2 ⭐️ lunch crepe was warm, large hunks of sun-dried tomatoes, which were chewy and over powered the chicken. Fair quality. 1 ⭐️ mushroom soup - warm not hot, watered down cream base with big mushrooms hunks which was really disappointing. It felt like the restaurant was switching out the lunch menu to dinner - thought they could stretch the last remnants. Could not eat it, which the server didn’t comment on. We will return & try again as I am sure this was an off day 🤞overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️More
We stopped in on our way back to Ottawa from Algoquin park, this place came highly recommended from my former colleagues and it did not disappoint! Me and my 3 family members all revived a delicious and filling crepe. I will gladly come back here...again whenever I find myself in Pembroke. :)More
The hash browns were cold unfortunately and the crepes were not what we expected but the waiter was really great and replaced the food that was incorrect. He was very polite and personable ! Probably wouldn’t go back Just because of personal preference but really...good service and beautiful building!More
All the way from Carleton Place, just for Nook crepes; they were worth every kilometer. I had the smoked salmon, and my husband had the lox. The only difference was that mine had asparagus, and his came with dessert. Oh and my capers were fried;...his not. Everything was delish, the salmon lovely, the portions generous, and the Nook salad was light and right. Dessert was chocolate mousse tart and creme brulee. Both were very enjoyable.More
Went there for the first time with my wife. Delicious food and good service. If I am ever in Pembroke again I would go back here, and I would definitely recommend it to others.
On Mar 11/2020 had the pleasure of visiting the Nook Creperie on 26 Pembroke St. W. in Pembroke, Ontario. A surviving place in a slightly depressed area of town with a great variety of tasty menu selections. I opted for the Lunch Leo: an oven...baked chicken with sundried tomato presto and goat cheese crepe with parmesan crust & balsamic reduction. The pesto added the flavor and the goat cheese added texture highlighted by the balsamic reduction. My wife had the Kensington: a crepe with Mornay sauce, and Mushrooms in a white wine cream sauce. Samantha V.G. was our server and was attentive to our every need with out being intrusive. We both found the crepes only room temperature and suggested that they attend to this in the future. Samantha immediately consulted with the kitchen and her supervisor and apologized with an explanation that their Chef was new and would be instructed to leave the crepe on a little longer in the future. She apologized and offered us a complimentary desert. We were dubious about ordering since we were both full from the entrée but I decided on the Rue Epic: a dark Lindt chocolate crepe with chocolate sauce. We were glad we did since it was delicious. A very pleasant lunch time addition to our travels. Thank you.More
This restaurant surprised us in all the good ways. The menu had delicious choices for the entire family, the decor and the vibe were great, and service was really welcoming and friendly. Their chef clearly knows what s/he is doing, with great tastes and combinations...using quality ingredients. Portions are tastefully presented and generous. Bonus: No annoyingly loud music, why can't more restaurants figure that out? Our server, Samantha, deserves special mention, she was just very good at what she did. I'd happily drive an extra loop to return here again in future. Highly recommended.More
The vegan crepe was good, nothing mind blowing but I was very impressed that they had vegan options. My boyfriend loved his and the soup was yummy!
