In light of the Covid-19 pandemic my wife and I were unable to dine inside for our very first visit to this restaurant. Not being deterred, we ordered an all meat pizza for take out. When I went to pick up our pizza, it became quickly apparent that the owner was taking this pandemic very seriously. Right inside the door there was a sign instructing customers what to do and how to go about doing it. The staff were protected at the counter by a large plexiglass and customers were limited to one at the cashier and they had to wear gloves that were provided. My hat goes off to the owner for taking those proactive measures. As for the pizza, it was great. I cud stand more toppings but that’s just me personally. I can’t wait for the ban on socializing to be lifted so that my wife and I can experience dining in at this restaurant.

Wow. I am a adept of the keto lifestyle and I finally found a keto friendly restaurant when passing through Pembroke Ontario.
Without being a purist or fanatic of the keto lifestyle, I know what I eat and what I don't.
There's four kinds of keto lifestyle "strict, High Fat Low Carb, moderate and dirty keto.
This last one isn't a bad thing at all. It just means that it uses some ingredients that are borderline to the recommended things.
Well this restaurant is excellent but uses the "dirty keto" philosophy. (rice flour instead of almond flour or cauliflower and cheese).
The staff is amazingly enthusiast and friendly.
The food is of good quality, freshness and well prepared.
For take out only, they even took time to explain the menu, and the ingredients. I really appreciated this.
This place is really worth trying.
I truly recommend.
Psst. Here's a secret... try the "keto balls" desert.
Edible heaven for the mouth.

After watching a CTV news profile we called ahead and picked up an X-large pie. They were genuinely friendly and the pie was genuinely great. I love Renfrew County pizza places because they are never stingy with the cheese and this place was no exception. We'll be back.

Our family was in town just for the night staying at a hotel and we wanted to go out for pizza and snacks. I called and asked if they had dine in and they said yes. Brought our family of 5 in and there were only 3 small booths, no highchairs. No table service. They asked for my phone number. The radio speaker was blasting right behind our table. All food was passed to us one item at a time in takeout containers so i was up and out of my seat about a dozen times, offering akward apologies to the waiting takeout patrons. The guy working randomly called my cell while we were waiting for the rest of our food...he seemed to be generally confused. The Greek salad was lettuce, feta and canned olive slices only. Dressing was good. My poor sons fries took about 20 minutes they were the last thing to come out. Wings were served with cold sauce on the side. Entire centre of pizza was a complete soggy mess and im pretty sure they put anchovy paste in their sauce. We were not offered plates, forks, ketchup, napkins, had to ask for everything. I understand there is a pandemic, but this is obviously NOT a family restaurant, and they certainly don't offer dine in. I was prompted to leave a tip when i paid before receiving the food, not sure why i left one, cause i did a lot of the work. An advertisement came on the Radio for Nick's pizza and we kinda wished we'd gone there instead....

I am sorry you had a bad experience, we are trying to come up with solutions to deal with pandemic regulations. We usually have 23 seats however we can only have our 3 booths (4 seats each) we are a quick service restaurant with no servers, we used to come out of kitchen and bring things to customers if they had to wait but now we can't. The staff should have asked if you wanted everything all at once because our wings do take longer since we don't have pre cooked wings.
We do not add anchovie paste to anything.
Our radio is in the lobby and sometimes our customers turn it up, we could have turned it down for you (we can't tell how loud it is from the kitchen.
Sorry again that you didn't enjoy yourself and thank you for the feedback, maybe we should close the dinning room for now but we get lots of students using the booths especially since its getting colder outside
We are trying to learn and adapt.

I had heard and read amazing things about this pizza place, so I knew I had to order take out during my brief visit.
The guy on the phone was very friendly, and took my order until it came down to the salad. Being in a hotel, I don't have the luxury of bowls to mix a salad, so I always ask for dressing on the salad I was told no, not possible. I'm really confused as to why this wasn't ok, I asked for it and I am more than ok if my salad is slightly soggy, as a paying customer I don't understand why this was such a hard no, I mean you mix the salad for dine in, don't you?
I ended up just getting a Hawaiian pizza and it was very good, would have really enjoyed a salad with it.
I definitely recommend the pizza but be forewarned dressing on a salad won't happen for take out so maybe order one elsewhere.

Sorry you didn't get the salad but glad tou enjoyed the pizza and service. Tou are correct we have gotten to many complaints about being soggy so we always put it on side. I have talked to the staff and told them from now on to explain why we don't do it but to do it anyways if customer insists. Thank you for letting us know and hope we can earn the 5th star soon 😀

New to the area and was visiting. I had a few people reccomend this place to me. I went with my daughter to try this place out. The pizza was not what I expected! Overcooked, super thin and highly overpriced for the food you are getting! I would not feed this to any of my family dogs! The food hit the garbage shortly after bringing it home! While being overcharged for greasy overcooked food is bad I wish that's all it was as placing my order the owner made inappropriate comments about my daughters chest! It was very disgusting! We are now nervous about walking downtown Pembroke next time we visit! I do not reccomend this place! If you're a female please don't go in there alone!!!

Well, I am really not one to write bad reviews but but you know the saying “Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me! We decided after a very difficult day to order pizza and decided to give Joes another try. We already had a credit on file because of the last fiasco when we ordered. We ordered an Xlarge Rita pizza with thin crust. The pizza arrived more than an hour later stone cold, no thin crust and topped with pepperoni and mushrooms, not quite sure what happened to the bacon, oinions and peppers? Very disappointed...

We love buying from (and supporting) Joe's Family Pizzeria! We haven't come close to trying everything on their menu but everything we have tried has been delicious. My fav pizza is their 'Big Joe Mufferaw' ... if you've never tried dill pickles on a pizza then this is a MUST for you! I swore I would never eat it but once I tried it I was hooked! Our 17 yr old would suggest you try their Maple Bacon pizza as that's his fav but he loves the Big Joe as well. They've also got great fries and onion rings and our daughter just loves their poutines.
Wether you live near by or just here for a visit, I highly recommend you give them a try ... they have something for everyone and I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed 😁

We wanted to have an appetizer kind of night, so I called and placed my order for pick up. Safe we’re amazing and polite. I ordered 4 separate appetizers and even got a deal buy 3 get the 4th free! To say the least we have some happy boys in the house and it was delicious like always!

The service was great and the music was great. A mix of genres but at a nice volume. The atmosphere is really cozy and intimate. I had a snowstorm as it was really hot out. I live in Pembroke and Joes is a great family-owned pizzeria with great heart. I have had their pizza bites in the past and they are so good.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your slice. If it had a lot of grease on top it was probably a cup & char pepperoni or pepperoni lovers (both have our cup and char pepperoni on them) if you Google cup and char, you will see this is how that product is made (the pepperoni cups up and holds some of the fat in the cups) our regular pizza is not like that if you could stop in or message us on Facebook we would be more then happy to let you try a different slice. My husband and I went to this place after driving all day and checking into our hotel. The music was not our style so we ordered for take out. It was ready quickly, thin crust as we like and lots of cheese. Other toppings not overly abundant but tasty.

Saw this little place on TripAdvisor, close to my hotel and decided to go... wasn't too sure at first but very good food, excellent service ( take out but stayed put while my ordre was being prepared) I had nice chat, and even got a nice surprise for desert ♡♡ see picture below !
