Stopped by our favorite pizza place in Parry Sound and tried the Vampire Slayer pizza. DELISH! Mauritzios uses such fresh ingredients. It was amzing. Even grabbed a bag of some italian pasta and special potato chips to take home. We are forever customers!😊❤️
Finally got to try our first Maurizio's pizza and it was excellent. The dough was even better than what I've had in Naples! The toppings were high quality and in just the right proportion. We had the Raptor. Just the right amount of zing. Definitely...going back to try some other combos and/or build our own. You can add, and I assume delete, toppings from the preset combos also. Assorted beverages are available. If you don't want to be disappointed call early to order yours. They often sell out.More
This pizza was some of the best I have ever had. And my family loves pizza. Thin, authentic, amazing flavor combinations. Could not have asked for a better pizza meal. I wish I could have tried more flavor combinations. Make sure you call ahead we...got the last spot for pizza that night. This place is busy for a reason.More
Been buying pizzas from the king goddess for a long time even though the chef is let’s just say eccentric would be kind so we had a group of 8 people so we needed 8 pizzas. I got this whole long story about can’t do...it. I have too many other customers, it’ll interfere with my time slots, so it’s not going to work and had to listen to this whole long story about he is the award winning pizza maker in the world makes the best pizza in the world. He’s the best in the world on and on and on anybody who’s had any dealings with him will know what I’m talking about ,and then wanted to know what time the get together was and I told him he said I can’t sell you the pizzas anyways cause what are you going do with the pizzas because you’re not serving them for three hours and these are wood burning and the pizzas cannot wait 3 hours and that’s not how we operate I think once you buy the food I think it’s yours to do what you want with it. In any event we ended up changing the time of the get together to make the king chef happy , but didn’t change the time to pick up the pizzas so instead of ordering all the pizzas under one name which he totally refused to do,three separate orders were called in by three separate people, and I went and picked them all up at the time that I originally wanted the 8 pizzas and we got what we wanted. I will tell you I will not be ordering there again. Yes he’s won awards. Yes the pizza is very good but definitely not worth going through the hassle of the king chef, the Almighty. Great Pizza! We were lucky enough to be able to walk in and have a fresh, delicious homemade pizza in under 30 minutes. Very much appreciated the Chef's recommendation to pre-order as walk-in's can not always be accomodated.
Maurizio's is the real deal! This is the best pizza ever. He is a chef that takes great pride in his product and so he should. The ingredients are chosen with care. Everything from the homemade sauce with San Marzano tomatoes, the meats and the...pizza crust are perfect. He actually buys his 00 flour from Italy. The many awards hanging on his wall are proof. If you are in Parry Sound anytime, make sure you check it out. He is so popular, you need to order a day or 2 in advance. It is so worth it!More
REALLY good pizza. Kids loved it too. We got cheese for the kids and a meat option for adults. Some of the best pizza I've had.
7 meat was an amazing pizza. It was just perfect! The atmosphere is very friendly. Italian sorbet was complimentary from chef. Would definitely come back and highly recommend!
My boss has been telling me about this place for a while and I finally made a visit - we showed up not understanding how it worked - definitely call ahead and order your pizza even if you plan to eat there as this place...is very popular and for good reason - we chose to eat there and because we didn't know what we were doing we were going to have a bit of a wait - we didn't mind and hung out in the chairs out front - they ended up managing the impossible and we only waited a fraction of the time - the staff was a delight and very kind and helpful - one bite of the amazing pizza and I had to try very hard to not just shovel in into my face - it was amazing! Chef Maurizio even took a moment out of his crazy busy kitchen to come say hello and ask how everything was - pure class - we'll be stopping in every time we're in the area for sure - if only that could be more frequently!More

We have stopped in a few times to grab take out pizza and always end up eating it in the car on the way home. E cause we can’t wait. Today we went in with the kids to eat on site. It’s a can’t miss...for pizza in Parry Sound, and I defy you to find better wood fired pizza outside of Little Italy in Toronto. Maurizio is super friendly and I plan to take a course with him in the fall. Stop by, you won’t regret it!More
Just a Fluke we went here, WOW We must Say it was AWESOME, Hawaiian Pizza and Garlic Fingers was Amazing. We cannot remember when we a PIZZA this Fresh and Tasty. We had two great pizzas at Maurizio’s. They were both the “sloppy” pies, one with cauliflower crust and the other was the wheat crust. Both were delicious and cooked very well. The sloppy had a BBQ sauce on top, which i could have done with...out (personal preference as I tend not to like sweet sauces on my food) but it went with all of the meat on top of the pizza. Maurizio was there cooking every pizza and you can tell he is passionate about his Za and runs a tight kitchen. The kitchen staff were all knowledgeable and courteous as well, having been offered a free limoncello slushy tasting on the way out. Two thumbs up! We weren’t expecting to find this little jewel in Parry Sound.More
Always on the lookout to support the local economy wherever we go... so while in Parry Sound you MUST stop in for a gourmet Pizza at Maurizio's! We had the Cardiac and the Canadian. OMG the choice meats in my Cardiac on a beautifully cooked...thin crust was AMAZING! Chef Maurizio and his staff were super friendly and helpful to guide us through his signature menu of Pizza's. We will make this our regular when we are at the cottage for sure! Pet friendly!More
