I have had chicken wings in 1000 restaurants because I love them.
This is without question, my favourite chickens wings to date.
They come in a metal bowel with a top on it to keep them hot.
The layer celery and carrots on the bottom. I know they all do that so what’s is so special?
Then they put a handful of seasoned fries on the veggies, then the chicken wings. Not small neatly chicken wings but meaty delicious chicken wings!
I also feel like something is missing with other restaurants wings. You get wings and a few carrots. If you want fries or anything else to make it a meal it costs you more.
This was perfect and the server was really friendly and helpful.
And it was reasonable!
The craft beer is great and the beet and goat cheese salad that my partner had was really good.
Best at Blue Mountain.

Had a great dinner. There for happy hour so beers were $7 and wine $10 for a 9 oz glass. My husband had the hoppy burger and I had the smoked brisket Mac and cheese. Both were piping hot and delicious. No way could I eat all of mine, so doggy bag to take back home. A full house on a Tuesday night, nice to see, so obviously we weren’t the only ones who knew a good place to eat.

Great pub fare, great portions and a nice place.
The starters don’t come with fries but should because ordering them separately is too big a portion and it creates a lot of waste, overall we all loved everything we ordered as a family group of 8. No one had any complaints otherwise

Terrible experience all around. Starting with the beer-the in house brewmaster at the Collingwood location clearly favours malt over anything else in his recipes as the “Pretty River” lager, “Backyard Blonde”ale and “Big Loop” are all indistinguishable in terms of flavour, and taste like Colt 45 and Black Ice. Looking for hops or variety? You won’t find it here. Looking for a decent IPA or Belgian-at least visit the Blue Mountain location. I have been to the mountain location as well and at least that brewer knows what he is doing.
As far as the kitchen, I watched 3 separate kitchen staff stroke and touch their beards before they handled fries/salad/hamburgers. Absolutely appalling. Not only that, somehow the restaurant had flies in winter and our food sat under warmers as some kitchen staff furiously yelled “HANDS” over and over. The burger pictured with salad cost $30. Ridiculous.
All in all if you feel compelled to visit our experience at the mountain location was different and would recommend that. Clearly the Collingwood location has issues with its kitchen and brewer. Until those are resolved would not recommend to my worst enemy.

My wife and I attempted to go to the Blue Mountain Location but it was ridiculously busy, so we opted to go to the Collingwood location about 10 minutes down the road.
We were very happy that we decided to stick with it, we both had a flight of beer, and we split the Pretzel Balls with Beer Cheese and the Salt & Pepper wings.
The beer was absolutely delicious, we would both highly recommend the Strawberry Rhubarb sour beer as it was absolutely fantastic.
The pretzel balls were fantastic, so warm and perfectly salted. And the beer cheese was just the perfect thickness, so delicious. The wings were also fantastic, just perfectly crisp, and there was a home made ranch that came with it that had a little bit of zing to it but very good.
All in all I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a little place to have a snack and some beer.

This place was referred to us by someone working at the hotel. He said we wouldn’t be disappointed and he was right! The food, as was the presentation, was just awesome. The beer equally as delicious. The service we received was great! Our waitress, sorry we didn’t get her name, was friendly and offered great menu suggestions.
What surprised us was it being a brewery/pub, just how many families we saw here. The food brings out the family here, and I get it.
Why not give it a 5/5? The washrooms. Unfortunately they may have been the worse I’ve ever seen. You guys have it all going on here, just get on top of this. It was a complete disaster in the ladies room.

My husband and I visited Collingwood and this pub was recommended by our hotel receptionist. I'm not usually impressed with pub food, but it was nearby. They were able to seat us fairy quickly and the service was friendly. I had a glass of red wine and my husband wasn't sure what beer to choose, so the server gave him a couple of samples, both tasty. I ordered the schnitzel and my husband had their burger with blue cheese. The schnitzel was generous and the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. My husband raved that the burger was THE BEST he'd ever had. Considering he's had burgers around the world and at some of the finest restaurants, I was surprised. I'll add that his fries were freshly cut and crispy. I would most definitely recommend this pub for a relaxed evening.

We have been dropping in and eating at this location since it 1st opened. We also hit the mountain location for patio season. I am sorry to say but our last couple of visits to the Collingwood location have been way below par. Service has always been prompt, courteous and professional. My concern is the food. We have always enjoyed our meals at both locations, with the odd slip up or subpar item. The last visit was the worst food we have eaten. From greasy overcooked fish and chips that tasted like they were precooked, sat under a heat lamp for an hour and recooked. My half rack rib dinner was horrible. Cold fries, disgusting ribs, tough, cold and chewy. Yes I did eat them, barely. I was starving and just plowed through. We did not bring our concerns at the time to the server as he was basically run off his feet. I think our bar and grill ventures to Northwinds are over given this significant drop in quality. If this was a one off, no problem. This is back to back unacceptable meals. Time to look elsewhere for our bar food cravings.

Great place to eat.
Staff friendly and it was buzzing, obviously a great place for the locals too which is always a good sign.
Service was good and the food was delicious. My husband had a burger and said it was the best burger he's had for a long time. I had a chicken dish (Huli Huli chicken) with rice and it was really flavoursome.

We recently stopped in for drinks at the Northwinds. They have a great selection of their craft beers on tap and the flight that we had was excellent. We didn't have any food to eat but what the table beside us ordered looked very appetizing. I will return the next time I'm in Collingwood.

We had a great experience at Northwinds. We shared some soft beer pretzels for starters, and then our group of four had pizza, fish tacos and a smash burger. Our adult beverage choices were a margarita plus the Big Loop, Route 26, and Broken Paddle beers. Shout out to server Nathalie, who was wonderful.
We were here for lunch but it turned out to be dinner as well, as we were too full to eat dinner afterwards!

We were very impressed with the covid protocols & felt very safe eating indoors. The tables were well spaced and they asked everyone for proof of vaccination & ID at the entrance. They had windows & doors open wherever possible. My husband & I shared the pretzel bites: very tasty, piping hot and plentiful. I had the pulled pork mac & cheese which was also very good and very filling. I took home half of it for lunch the next day. My husband had the smash burger and fries - he cleaned his plate.

I already knew this was not a “fine dining” restaurant but I did not expect how delicious it would be.
Our welcome was friendly and inviting. The fries, cooked in duck fat, were the best I’ve ever eaten in 60+ years. The chicken wings were juicy and cooked perfectly. The lettuce leaf tuna wraps were tasty and fresh.
Our server came by a few times and made suggestions and was friendly but not invasive.
Try this one out — i am so pleased I did and I’ll be back again.

Just so everyone knows. If you try to make reservations the automated machine says “we serve only on a first come first serve bases”.
So my family and I showed up, as a group of 4, a little earlier than planned. As I was standing in line to put my name on the wait list, the hostess picked up the phone and put the caller on the wait list ahead of me.
Instead of apologizing for ignoring me and taking the phone call first she said “that’s just the way it is”.
Very unhappy with the customer service upon arrival.
However, knowing how good the food is there we did wait and Mike, our server, helped turn our night around and we had a very enjoyable experience.
I would recommend you change the recording to “no reservations” to “call to put your name on the wait list”.

After a frustrating 5 hour drive we pulled into Northwinds to regroup and find our bearings. Mike was our server and he was very upbeat and helpful. Got us started with a flight of beer to help us relax. The restaurant was moderately busy but he was very attentive. We both ordered burgers and they came out promptly. I ordered an Impossible Burger to try something different and it was quite good. The smoked infused IPA ketchup was very tasty. I should have seen if they sold it! Overall Mike and Northwinds is exactly what we needed at that point on our trip.
