Travelled to Collingwood to visit family and went back to the Northwinds. We really enjoy the atmosphere, the food is great and love the service.

My husband and I visited Collingwood and this pub was recommended by our hotel receptionist. I'm not usually impressed with pub food, but it was nearby. They were able to seat us fairy quickly and the service was friendly. I had a glass of red...wine and my husband wasn't sure what beer to choose, so the server gave him a couple of samples, both tasty. I ordered the schnitzel and my husband had their burger with blue cheese. The schnitzel was generous and the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. My husband raved that the burger was THE BEST he'd ever had. Considering he's had burgers around the world and at some of the finest restaurants, I was surprised. I'll add that his fries were freshly cut and crispy. I would most definitely recommend this pub for a relaxed evening.More

Great service and food. Loved the beers that I've tried. Cool atmosphere. Lots to choose from off the menu. I enjoyed the spinage and artichoke dip. Very good dish to share.

Stopped by after a day of hiking. Went in to get a pizza and fries as something to hold us over until dinner. The pizza with the little pepperoni and hot and honey drizzle was fantastic! Enjoyed a ceasar and blonde stout, both were good....Enjoyed everything so much we returned for pizza, only to find out its not always avalible as they only have so much dough. Server was great to reccomend calling ahead to not be disappointed. Do wish there was fountain pop as only cans were available.More

After travelling and arriving at our destination, we chose this place for some eats. What a delightful surprise! We ordered the taco salad starter and the falafel salad. They were absolutely delicious. This was enough so that I could take home some falafel salad for...lunch the next day. Service was good. Look forward to a another visit.More

Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. Good food. Enjoyed watching the brew masters at work. Not an extensive food menu but liked being able to try a flight of beer.

The restaurant was very busy, which is always a good sign bartender was super friendly. A+ for staff and manager that were hopping the entire time. Here’s my first impression of my half rack pork ribs with smokey BBQ sauce, cheesy mac and cheese, root...slaw and garlic bread. A very good meal, but could be better.Four stars could easily have been five. The ribs were perfectly cooked and delicious! They really could have used more sauce for me as one of the great parts of BBQ anything is lots of that great sauce. I asked for a side order of sauce and problem solved, but just brush a fresh thick layer on before serving. The mac and cheese was delicious. A nice mix of flavours. Sort of a slightly spicy with a bit of heat version and it was a tastebud reward. On to the slaw. I was a bit surprised by the first bite, but as the flavours settled in I have to say I really enjoyed it. Very nice. The garlic bread was a major disappointment. Was hard and not warm to the touch. Reminds me of that leftover bread you heat up in the microwave the next day. This was not a delayed service issue, so can’t blame the waitress as the rest of the meal was hot. I think the kitchen just let this one slide and tossed it on the plate at the very end or pre-prepped some toast to meet the rush. Not sure, but an “F” on the toast. One recommendation for the plating. Well, not so much the plate, but the black paper, sort of parchment paper, under the ribs. Never ever serve the meat on something that might end up in the meat. Simple rule. The paper underneath the ribs soaked up the moisture and sauce and with a bit of knife and fork action that paper became part of your amazing rib dish. Lose the paper! It serves no purpose at all. Does it help with the presentation; black paper on a black plate? No It does not reduce cleanup either as you still need to wash the plate. All it does is ruin the best part of this dish. Just serve the food on a plate. That’s what plates are for. Fast food and donair shops use paper, as they don’t have dishes. My advice to anybody who orders the ribs, toss the paper aside and chow down on your low-fibre diet. Anyhow, bitchin’ aside, great vibe and atmosphere and ass-busting staff. I would come again!More

The staff were great but the food extremely disappointing, This restaurant was highly recommended to us but unfortunately the food was not good. The ribs were fatty and tough. The music was not appropriate for the demographics in the restaurant at 4pm. Most are seniors...and the heavy metal loud music was annoying and you had to yell to talk. Save the heavy metal for 6pm!!More

We stopped in for lunch on the way home after spending a few days skiing at Blue Mountain. Nice roadhouse with a good menu. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, was a little greasy but was still tasty. I would go back there again....As a non-beer drinker I appreciate when they have a few decent wines on the menu too.More

No patio, per se. Rather, garage doors that open to expose the front of the restaurant to the outdoors. Opens onto the driveway. Not somewhere I'd want my dog.
