My husband and I love coming here for lunch or dinner, we are never disappointed. I had the pear salad and he had the cubano. Yum!

I have reviewed this restaurant before when we went for lunch and it was good. This time we went for dinner. They have aged steak on the menu priced according to how long they have been aged.. I am very familar with aged steak. Sadly...this was not a good choice. I ordered the most expensive at $54. They did not remove the mold from the outside, so you can just image what it taste like. But it seems I don't know my steak and was told it was prepared correctly. hmmmmm.More
Worst Prime Rib I have ever had. Fatty and tasteless. Knife was blunt, wouldn’t even cut the carrot that came with the meal. Will not be back. Server was very nice.
What a great dining gem in Chatham! The atmosphere and service were exceptional. Maggie was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food sent us straight back to Portugal... very large portions... and an extensive drink list to choose from. Will be back!
This restaurant if going down hill, last two times we were there the steak was almost inedible, tough is not the word I complained and was given 50% off
An unplanned visit that was pleasantly surprising. The atmosphere was very comfortable, the decor is pleasing and very clean (including the washrooms). Our server was pleasant, friendly and answered all of our questions. Our food was delicious, plentiful and presented well. We will certainly return...if we're back in Chatham.More
HORRIBLE Policy and Unaccommodating Server. My husband and I went for dinner last night. My husbands chicken was ok, is all that I can say good. Decor nice. I had the sampler plater which was $18 and had one shrimp, one croquette, a pice of...dried sweet potato and something other, deep fried. 2 ?cold?mussels. It was as it said, on the menu, but terrible. I could not eat it. I sent it back, almost untouched. No offer for part credit or refund. I was told it was traditional food, and when I added that we have been to Portugal many times and generally enjoy the food, she challenged me…where? Where was I in Portugal?? Many visits there, so I told her. Furthermore, I have had stomach surgery for some bad cells. (We are both in our 60’s). When I asked to share my sample platter, I was told there was an additional charge to Share It. So I was stuck to eat it as a meal, which I didn’t like, and I was furthermore nervous having any of my husbands chicken, if we got charged extra sharing his meal. What a stupid and Terrible policy. We always share. We eat out 3x a week easy. Top end usually. We were not trying to save money. We had a salad, the Sampler Plater as my meal, the chicken as my husbands meal, we had coffees and 2 desserts as I was still hungry. I told the server I was still hungry as I ate basically nothing. We were not trying to cheat them. Our bill was $100 and I left hungry and too upset to even finish dessert. I will never return, and will furthermore encourage my friends in the area, to avoid that place too.More
Wow what a great meal and our waitress Claudia was excellent in suggesting wine and options, she took the time to chat with us and made the dining experience even better.
A wonderful spontaneous trip to Chatham today, to have an early dinner at this very beautiful, inviting restaurant; we enjoyed wonderful conversation with our amazing hostess Claudia; our dinner was absolutely phenomenal!!! It was well worth the drive from London area… we will definitely return!!!...Thank you so very much!!! C&J FonsecaMore
We ordered take-out for a special evening, and the food was wonderful, both flavourful and tender. We enjoyed the Baby back ribs, devoured the chicken and the Smokey Bacon Salad was amazing!!! To top it all off, the service was even better. Cannot wait to...go back!More
The four of us were day tripping in the area. None of us had been to Chatham prior. My sister found this restaurant on the internet and we did not have the benefit of anyones recommendations. How lucky we were. We walked into an immediate...warm welcome and were seated quickly. The decor was pleasant, very clean and up to date. We were seated in the front of the restaurant which was busy. TVs were showing a soccer match but the sound was off so it was not distracting for diners not interested in the game. Our server was very pleasant and told us she was from Portugal (16 years in Canada). What a delightful lady, very friendly and efficient. Our meals were all nicely plated. The food was very good and the servings were ample. We had a look at their dining room. It was modern and would be great place for a party. We checked the dinner menu and agreed we would definitely be back for lunch or dinner visit if in the area again.More
Stumbled upon this place and sure glad we did! Good and service was amazing. I live 1-1/2 hours away, but would make the drive to enjoy the great (and beautifully presented) food!
3 of us dined here on Saturday, Oct 12th. For appetizers we had the soup of the day; 'squash & peach' which was delightful & unique. We also had the Lobster Eggs which were disappointing. They were not at all what we expected based on...the menu description (deep fried) and had very little lobster taste to them. For our mains we had the cod fillet, sardines and seafood pasta. The cod and sardines were tedious to eat because of all the bones but Claudia warned us of that when we ordered. The seafood pasta was dry so our dining partner asked for 'a bit' more sauce (extra charge of $5 for a small little bowl - sigh). Just put an adequate amount of sauce on the dish to begin with please! Overall our experience was just OK and we aren't certain what all the fuss about Churrascaria is. Perhaps local residents don't venture to bigger cities, with more competition, very often so don't have much else to compare this to. Perhaps it was just our poor menu choices or perhaps the chef was having an off night. Thank goodness for our server Claudia who was friendly, funny and efficient.More
Finally got here for lunch and was not disappointed. I had the half chicken and it was perfectly cooked. Hubby had Francesinha Moda do Porta and it was delicious. Will definitely be returning. One of the best of the top 3 restaurants in Chatham. Our...server was very nice too. Can hardly wait to try the dinner menu.More
Lunch was excellent. I was looking forward to trying some authentic Portuguese cuisine. Portions were large and delicious. Our server, Claudia was delightful. Her recommendations were perfect. Thank you. Will definitely be back!
