Upscale, vibrant restaurant that did not disappoint us. We went to celebrate my partner's birthday. We each had a salad and a different pasta dish. The service was great, the food was well presented, fresh, tasty and served at the perfect temp. We will definitely...be back as there were many other items on the menu that we wanted to try.More
We are a senior couple who decided to take my 90 year old Mother(hard of hearing) out for a nice dinner in the middle of the week to help get rid of the late winter blues. I booked a reservation several weeks in advance and...was granted my request for a quiet table. An unknown young gentleman who arrived behind us helped get Mom shuffling through the large cumbersome set of double doors. The stone faced young lady (I refuse to call her a Maitre'D) who met us just inside asked if we needed a table for four. There was no friendly greeting with a smile. We said "no, we had a reservation for 3". The receptionist immediately hustled the younger gentleman (without checking his id) into a side room where a large party seemed to be going on behind the bar. She then turned her attention to us and started the tedious task of checking our vaccine passports. Then she had a hard time finding our reservation as my wife had to point out our name in the reservation book. Finally she escorted us to a table just behind the reception desk. I asked her for a quieter table away from the front door. She took us a little farther up the long centre isle and placed us right where all the servers were hustling in and out of the kitchen. There were plenty of quieter empty tables along the side wall but I assumed they must be all reserved. As the restaurant gradually filled up with diners it got progressively noisier. It was impossible to carry on a normal conversation because of all the noise from the growing hustle and bustle. Then at 6:00 PM there was a delivery being made at the back door at the end of the long hallway to the bathrooms. The door was left wide open for at least 10 minutes while we sat there freezing from the draft. The food was ok and our server (Karyn ?) was excellent. Overall a very upsetting experience for a middle of the week dinner.More
We had a reception after a funeral. I booked a party of 35 and it was done via email and a couple of phone calls. We built a mini version of the full menu. This option was great to manage costs. Kurtis worked with me...and we had 6 choices and 2 wines.
The food came out by table and it did take a while but we were not in a hurry. I would say that all the food was hot. It was a pleasant surprise. Everyone enjoyed there dinners. We had Veal, Perch, Parmigiana Veal, Chicken or Eggplant, Lasagna,
The portions were enormous and out of 35 people no complaints. I had the perch and could not finish the portion.
The 2 servers were great and I would recommend this place.More
Don’t go after a rainfall and eat on the patio. We arrived and the tent coverings were loaded with water unbeknownst to us. We were seated and a waterfall fell a few tables over. The waitress emptied a few others and left. We were enjoying...our drinks and all of a sudden it let go over my head. It went down my back soaking my pants . Luckily my blazer repelled a lot of the water on top. The waitress attempted to clean up the mess. There were no apologies or compensation for having to sit in soaking wet pants for the duration of the meal. A plain salad that was requested got upgraded and we were charged for the up grade. An appetizer was billed to the wrong couple. The food was adequate but nothing special and the service was poor. We will not be returning again.More
We dined there as a "date night". I had dined there before but this was the first time as a couple. We were treated very well. They gave us a table off to the side. The food was fantastic. I had Salmon wrapped in prosciutto....I had to admit it was one of the best meals I have ever had. We had a wonderful bottle of wine and my wife picked out the desert. I think it was suicide cake. Whatever it was it was delicious. This was just before the last lockdown, can't wait to get back. .More
We were staying overnight in a hotel in Chatham and needed to grab some dinner during COVID to take - pizza is the best choice. I phoned ahead, and the order was ready for the time I had asked for. Plus a great deal -...two pizzas with a salad for $30! It was so good, we saved some for lunch the next day - would highly recommend.
On a side note - their health precautions were spot on - the ability to social distance, PPE, and hand sanitizer available. I watched them wipe down the payment machine after each use. Highly recommend!More
I visited Mamma Maria’s Ristorante for the first time in December of 2020. I was so impressed; from the moment I called to reserve to the moment I walked out the door after dinner. I 100% felt like a returning friend instead of a first-time...customer. Our server/waitress, Jennifer, was absolutely amazing! She helped us in and out in about an hour!! For a group of 8 people, this is extremely remarkable! The food was delicious as well! Will definitely recommend to friends and family!More
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner last month. The restaurant is so cozy and the service was amazing. We had a delicious fresh green salad and we liked it so much we bought two bottles of dressing to take home. Our pasta was amazing too....We would highly recommend this restaurant!More
