Creative menu with wonderfully tasty food. The scenery from the windows and the great ambience make this a great place to eat lunch or dinner.

OMG - Amazing meal. Our Rotary club had our Gala meeting upstairs. Four of us decided we would go downstairs for something to eat. Allison offered to make us something special...not on the menu. We each has the most amazing roasted vegetable soup along with...beef tenderloin, roasted veggies and garlic mash russet and sweet potatoes. Perfect amount for us to share as it was a little later at night. The price was great and the taste was out of this world wonderful. Definitely would go back!More

I visited Riverwalk on January 25th to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. Being from Toronto, I was hesitant to try a "fine dining" restaurant in a smaller town. But there is absolutely nothing I can say I was dissatisfied with. The dining area is small and...cozy and the atmosphere is not like that of a larger sized restaurant. I felt like I was part of the family. Our server was absolutely amazing. He had such a great personality and genuinely seemed to love his job. The food was also delicious. I would definitely recommend the goat cheese crostini for an app and the cracking skin chicken for the main. I can see why this restaurant was highly rated. If you're in the area, make it a point to go!More

Thank you to Chef David, Allison and staff for the wonderful experience! As always, they went above and beyond to make the birthday dinner a special night! We called ahead to let them know about dietary needs and they more than accommodated and made a...fantastic dish. For a person who has dietary needs it isnt often you feel treated to something special when out to eat! Thank you!More

Amazing place!! I have never written a review before but I decided to do it after reading the last review. We love this place. And guess what!! Sometimes the chef comes to the table either running food, clearing plates ect. and sometimes they don’t. After...many versions of a review making fun of the whining millennials that didn’t have the chef at their table and would like an explanation I decided not to be that mean lol. I know I’m old but really. Your feelings were hurt and you will now try and ruin someone’s great business because of that!! Really!! you give a bad review because of that!! Spoiled little brats and that is how everyone will read that review. Maybe they were unapproachable!! Maybe the chef was out there helping and people kept them at the table longer then they wanted. If your feelings were that hurt maybe you should have asked why instead of posting it. Maybe they were trying to help the young lad out and by the time your meal came out the server was ok so they no longer needed to be on the floor. Stop being a stereotypical millennial and complaining about your feelings being hurt!! The food is always spectacular and the service is wonderful. When you are in cottage country it is a must go.More

My girlfriend and I came and dined at Riverwalk a few days after the new year, on a small trip up to Muskoka for a few days. The ambiance of the restaurant was quite nice - from the historical plaques near the building it looks...like it was from an old mill. The music was nice and peaceful and the restaurant had about 6-7 other tables dining besides us. There was one waitstaff in addition to the two chefs. We ordered: - Pan Seared Foie Gras w/ Crustini and Mixed Greens - Crackling Skin Chicken - Braised Lamb Shank - Flour-less Chocolate Cake The food all tasted very good and to our satisfaction. We could taste the freshness of the greens and local ingredients used. Also the portions were generous and the quality of the food was top notch. The lamb shank was very tender and moist - and easily flaked off nicely from the bone. The gravy/sauce went well with the garlic-mashed potatoes and the carrots/asparagus to add additional flavour. -3 STARS: While the dining experience, including the food and our service from the young lad of a waiter was good, my partner and I left with an overall NEGATIVE experience - overshadowed specifically due to us being avoided by the Chef throughout the night. Specifically, through the evening, we could see and hear one of the chefs coming out and going around to check-in with each of the tables and striking up (lengthy at times) conversation with each table. The place is cozy/intimate and our table was situated directly in the middle so it was impossible not to hear this around. We were literally the only table where she did not come by, say a single word to us, despite passing right beside our table on multiple occasions. We found that to be very very odd and it truly made us feel unwelcome and unwilling to ever return or recommend this to friends or family ever. It would be nice to get a response / explanation if there is one, but this was a feeling that both of us could not shake even for a few days following, and being back in Toronto.More

We had our family Christmas dinner catered by Riverwalk and it was fantastic. The traditional holiday dinner was incredible. The best part was, no one in our family spent the day cooking! We will definitely be having Riverwalk cater all of our family gatherings.

The food was exceptional! Laura offered top service! We were lucky to arrive at the beginning of the holiday celebration and we got to enjoy fireworks while we savoured our food and wine. Definitely going back to this gem.

Great atmosphere right by the water. Fantastic service from our server. The food was incredible. We are glad we sought out this restaurant and would return again. Price was moderate and comparable with other restaurants but had a fine dining feel with the presentation of...dishes. Thanks for a great lunch!More
