We stopped here and were pleasantly pleased with our meals. Service was prompt and friendly. My hubby had fish n' chips and I had a lobster roll.A tad pricey but worth it. View was great sitting near the window ..

Food was amazing. Portions a good size. Small restaurant so it's best to have reservations. Mussels, crab cakes, scallops and seafood chowder were done to perfection.

We were staying at the Boat to Sea B&B just down the road, and this restaurant was highly recommended by Jane, the owner. We had an amazing meal! We had the Seafood Salad and the Seafood Clubhouse - after being told there was no lobster (I think they were molting, and not at their best), we wondered what we were... More

Customer service is a lot to be desired.....my niece visiting us from B.C. was taking us out to dinner for appreciation of staying with us. When she called to make reservations for the four of us and a 3 year old little boy she became very aware by the attitude of the lady on the other end that children were... More

Had lunch recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chowder was excellent, the lobster club was very good and generous and the seafood salad was great with grilled romaine and grilled bread. A nice lunch with good service. We went at the end of lunch and didn't need a reservation.

Even with the sign on the street, it was hard to find the entrance. Don't be fooled by the rough exterior and simple decor inside. This food is the best anywhere. The wait staff was sweet, and the chef came by to check on us. Generous portions. When I asked for half of my sandwich to be boxed, the server... More

This is a small restaurant on the harbour, near the end of the downtown area. It is unique as the kitchen can be seen from the dining room. The food is good. I had haddock and fries. The service was very friendly. The prices were a little higher than other restaurants in the area of similar class. It is one... More

We had a really nice dinner there last night. The outside of this small local restaurant is low key and unassuming. However, as soon as you step inside they quickly live up to their high ratings. We started with the Lobster Spring Roll which was filled with lobster meat and delivered terrific flavor. It came with a mound of thin... More

After three tries on three different occasions, this place deserves a review. The first time they were not open and phone does not take resevations. The second on the same pass through town, we arrived at 7pm as they were open till 8pm, but the hostess or server said they were closing and why don't we try the black spoon.... More

Wow. What a nice review for someone who has never done business with us. Judging by all your reviews, you seem to live to post negative reviews about everyone. Must be nice. Since you seem to know everything about everything, try to plan your vacations better. Call ahead to see availability. Restaurants do close to cater a wedding or attend... More

Great little restaurant in the seaside town of North Sydney. A very diverse restaurant with many culinary treats. Very impressive takes on "fish & chips" and other Maritime favorites. The only issue here is space. Book early if you want to go. Don't show up at the door. You will be disappointed. As well, you will miss an amazing treat.
