Great Breakfast

This hidden gem just north of Valemount is not to be missed if you want some good home coking. I had the Texas Style Eggs Benedict with Ham and my wife had the Pancakes (which were absolutely huge. We received our meals in timely way and did not have to wait long. The service was also very considerate and kind. Certainly recommend this restaurant if you want a great home style breakfast. Special Note: If you are hangering for some good old fashioned Liver and Onions, you can find it here!!! Not to too many places that serve any more.

A must stop in Valemont, B.C.!

This truck stop might appear unassuming from the outside, but it fast became a fave of ours. Super friendly staff & customers. We thoroughly enjoyed our pan fried perrogies & homemade (right there in the restaurant) strawberry/rhubarb dessert. We generally pass through Valemont, but think we will try to make this a stop on future trips.

It's the Real Deal

Stopped for lunch yesterday. Will now become a regular stop when traveling btw Vancouver and Edmonton. Great family restaurant with "real" food. What a great alternative to the usual roadside fast food. Not pretty on the outside but but beautiful on the inside where it counts. Good service, good food, good prices - what more would you want.

Anybody home???

Travelling through and stopped in for a late lunch. Walked in and the place was empty. Please wait to be seated sign by the door. Two staff walking around doing nothing, didn't even acknowledge us. Waited a couple minutes, walked out and went to A&W.

Better than last yr.

My wife and I decided to give it another try stopping on our way to Osoyoos BC.Had stopped here last yr and club house sand was the worst.But gave them another try and had the ruben . Great sandwich nice homemade soup and service was friendly. Only drawback food slow in preparation so don't be in a hurry

The only good place in Valemount

I did not enjoy my time in Valemount with an entire town that didn't seem to care about service, this place was the exception. Although it is slightly outside Valemount it is worth the effort for good food and good service.

Good place for a quick meal on the road

While driving down from Jasper to Kamloops, we stopped at McLennan for lunch. Typical North-American family restaurant where we took the Chicken burger and McLennan Special burger. Both burgers, as well as the home fries and the home coleslaw, were very good. Friendly service, fair prices.

Excellent family restaurant

Traveling presents a problem when ordering meals. You just can’t take leftovers with you. Here they let you order a half turkey dinner from the menu. Real mashed potatoes, real French fries, homemade cranberry sauce and a homemade apple crisp big enough for two people. Husband had creamy potato and ham soup and a Reuben.

Friendly, Good Food

Stopped in for lunch on our way through to Kamloops. Abernathy’s is your simple ‘diner’. Good home cooked food, great, friendly service! The fries are amazing! My daughter had perogies which were fried with onions and bacon - so yummy and plentiful! I had a BLT that didn’t disappoint - fresh, juicy and flavourful! All the staff were very friendly! Definitely will stop again!

Twould go back in a minute!

Not fancy but great food, generous portions, great service, friendly, reasonable prices, what more can you ask for! The waitress was probably the best waitress we have seen for years! Well worth driving up the highway for a few kilometers to get to. It is just north of Valemount, across the road from the helicopter place. Try it.

Unexpected delicious breakfast surprise

Stopped by Abernathy's on our travel through the Rockies. We had a great Denver omlette and enjoyed the location a lot. Great service and really affordable prices. Would always go back here.

Great place to dinner

We are five friends making a trip around Canada, and we stopped here to have dinner. Great hamburguer, very tasty, and super friendly and professional waitress. I recommend this place!

Lunch stop

On our way to Jasper and decided to stop in here as only place we could see open. As another post said, don’t judge by the outside. Great little find! Lovely friendly staff and great choice of food. We had salad, soup and sandwiches. Recommend stopping!
