This place rocked! We showed up unannounced with 15 of us and they got us in no problem and it was busy that night! Service was great, food was amazing and the restaurant was clean and inviting! The place has a great menu and offers...tons of drink options including beers from down the road (three ranges brewing)! We all had a blast and everyone enjoyed themselves! Cheers for the good times!More
My children and I had dinner here and were absolutely overwhelmed by the quality & quantity of everything we ordered. Our food absolutely exceeded our expectations and was absolutely divine. I’m going to attempt to make what I ordered at home….I know it won’t be...as good but I’m gonna try. The serving sizes were great! The food was absolutely delicious and the desserts were amazing! The staff were friendly and efficient. Thank you to the chef especially for putting so much passion into the food and dessert choices. Some of the best! Please don’t ever get rid of the Chicken Briejon or the dessert cups! The atmosphere was cozy and appealing. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning on our yearly trip.More
We’re a week into our two week trip and this is definitely the best meal we’ve had since being here! Lovely venue with excellent, friendly staff. I had the pork medallions with peppercorn sauce and my partner had the New York steak. It was so...welcoming to see vegetables on my plate and no chips! Everything was cooked perfectly and was so tasty. We shared the apple crisp pudding which was served with ice cream. Cannot fault this place - well worth a visit if you’re in the area.More
After one very disappointing dinner in Clearwater the night before we were a bit nervous to try another local restaurant. But here in Valemount, Caribou Grill has got it right. We had the pork medallions and Prime Rib. Every part of the meal was fantastic....The whipped potatoes were flavorful, the broccoli was perfectly cooked, and the meat was just so tasty and good quality. The prime rib beats the Keg by a mile!! Our server was attentive and her timing of everything was perfect. We saw others with various things like Caesar Salad, French Onion Soup and they all were saying how good it was. Great dinner and if we are ever back in Valemount we will be coming here again, and telling everyone else about it.More
We arrived without a reservation on a busy Thursday evening to find the last available table. Tables were well spaced in the attractive rustic building with a pleasant atmosphere. We chose the Pork Tenderloin Medallions Hunter Style ($28) with its mushroom sauce topped with bacon...and the Wild Artic Salmon ($31.95) in a creamy taragon sauce. The pork came with mashed potatoe and the salmon brown rice. Both also came served with a whole sweet red peppar and broccoli and were perfectly cooked. Half a litre of the house Jackson Trigg chardonnay at $21.95 was a perfect accompaniment. Service throughout was friendly and professional. This was one of the best meals we have had on our current holiday.More
The only good restaurant in Valemount. Dinner was perfect and the staff very friendly. Nice ambiance. If you want a two course meal, don't take a starter, because the desserts are extremely nice.
Yep, for sure the best place here. Not many options anyway, but this large restaurant, with still a good vibe is where you should go. They do not take reservations, so be early, or wait a bit, outside…. Had great steak and calamari, a few...local beers and the best service you can wish for. Walkable from most hotels.More
Came here on a Sunday night. Very few places to choose from in Valemount for eating. Parking lot was full so was worried about getting in. We did manage to get a table and had an awesome waitress (service was superb, and with a smile)....The food was good. I had a chicken fettuccini which was quite tasty. Overall not a bad visit, but the ambience needs a little work, restaurant is dated and in need of some TLC.More
This was a wonderful restaurant. The service and food were excellent with a huge choice of steak, pork, pasta dishes. It was high quality and plenty of food provided. Highly recommend for a nice dinner!
What a find in a small town, no wonder it was ranked number 1 restaurant. We arrived early without a booking and were quickly shown to a table. The food was very well prepared and presented, good choices for all tastes and prepared without a...great deal of wait time. The restaurant was full of quirky things like grizzly bear paw imprints and despite being busy the wait staff were attentive without being overbearing. Great meal, would happily go back and would say that unless you are looking for a fast food alternative this is the only place in town to eat.More
Excellent food and service. It was busy but luckily we did not wait too long to get a table. The salmon was delicious. Highly recommended
Visited my favorite Valemount restaurant on June 20, 2022. As always the food was delicious and my server, Lorelei was outstanding. Lorelei provided incredible service to 8 tables simultaneously with 20 to 25 guests constantly in attendance, taking all orders and delivering all food on...time personally. Outstanding. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, not catering to the bar/pub crowd, more family and friends oriented. Choice of small or large portions also a welcome innovation.More
We ordered the grilled tofu steak dinner and the pesto lentil pasta. They were both amazing flavours and presentation. The best vegan dinners and desert that we have experienced in a long time. The service was top notch and the decor with spectacular mountain views...made for a very special dining experience.More
While on roadtrip Oct 2021 at BC and Alberta we stayed overnight at Valemount when we asked for a nice place to eat they recommended the Caribou Grill. A very nice building and interior. We did not have any reservation this was no problem and...the staff showed us a nice table. (not to small) When we received food and wine list we asked the waiter for advice pity Canad does not export his wines to Europe cannot blame them. Anyway the wine and food where excellent we hope to come back on our next roadtrip at CanadaMore
