Have never really been enthusiastic about eating here. This time it wasn’t even an option as it was closed (this was before our 9am flight). A sign directed us to the kiosk past security where options were slim.

Waiting for a morning plane and needing some food, we ordered a breakfast sandwich, some pan fries, and coffee. They said the coffee was fresh. It wasn't. And the bread for the sandwich was awful. The sandwich was edible. The pan fries. Well, we won't...talk about them. Service was friendly but the sandwich was ready first....then about 5 minutes later, the panfries.More
I stopped in for a mask so I could get on my flight. I was told they are for sale at the cafeteria. Cafeteria lady gave me a choice between disposable or re-usable. Turns out they are selling the 60 cent disposable masks for $5.60!...I was disgusted by their blatant profiteering. Didn’t bother buying food...More
This was a nice small restaurant in the airport where you can have a bite to eat before boarding your flight. Much better than eating junk out of a vending machine!
Food was overpriced for a cafeteria. We ordered clubhouses with soup. My mother's tomato vegetable soup was so so. The split pea soup I had was ok, had they seasoned it then it would have been great. Friendly cook and the cashier forgot my water...and seemed not interested in being there. Since there is no where else to eat then I would eat there again when at the airport.More
Value for money not great ... ordered a quesadilla... it was a wrap so disappointed. It was basically heated a bit in microwave ... not like any quesadilla I have ever had. For the money I should have waited. Did mention it to cashier who...just shrugged.More
Picked up a fruit cup for a light snack while waiting for a flight to Vancouver. The fruit cup tasted "off" so I returned it to the cashier. Offered something else in exchange. Thankful the oatmeal cookie was excellent. Since the airport is under construction...the cafe is the only decent place to wait. Unfortunately there was a group of workmen drinking and talking (cussing ) quite loud so it wasn't a particularly pleasant stop.More
asked for french fries but was told the only person who can make them was late that day so no. My flight was delayed for 2 hours and in that time this person had still not shown up so no french fries. The food I...did have wasn't great.More
I have been to the Flight Deck Restaurant/Johnston Little Food Services/Airport Café (whatever you want to call it – I think the place suffers from a bit of an identity crisis. “Flight Deck Restaurant” appears on your receipt; “Johnston Little Food Services” is printed on...the menu; and “Airport Café” is painted on the wall, but I digress. . .) a number of times. Personally, I find the café fine for what it is: an establishment designed for a quick meal before your flight. It is the only dining option in Terrace Airport, so if you want something more than sandwiches, soups, burgers or poutine, I’d suggest eating before you arrive. That said, I think the place is kind of cute: the menu is simple and the food generally well executed. The sandwiches and soup are nothing special, but I do like the seemingly quirky specials on offer from time to time: the crispy chicken poutine and jumbo hot dog stand out in that regard. (In fact, when I saw that the evening special was a “Jumbo Hot Dog” one day, I couldn’t help myself; I just HAD to get it! There was just something about seeing a hot dog listed as a “special” that I couldn’t resist. And it was really good, too, by the way. I’m just sad I haven’t seen it since!) Being the only eatery in YXT, the place does get busy as people come in for their flights. Because there’s usually only a staff of 3 (sometimes 4), it’s a good idea to get to the airport early to place your order – if you intend to eat – otherwise you might have a bit of a wait and end up having to “rush” your meal or get it to go. Now, this has never happened to me (I always get to the airport a bit early), but I have seen others in this situation. Generally, I’ve had absolutely no issues with the food – it’s always been good; however, my partner did have an issue with a fruit pie a couple of weeks ago. When the matter was brought to the attention of staff, they very quickly took ownership and corrected the issue to our satisfaction – a mark of good customer service. In short, if you want a quick bite to eat at YXT, the on-site café is a good place to go. The space, while simple, is clean and the staff courteous. FOOD: 3.5/5 SERVICE: 3.5/5 VALUE: 3/5 RECOMMENDATION: Two thumbs up!More
Service is underwhelming. 3 Underworked Employees, who move like Turtles. I should have had time to catch a meal before my flight, buy I had to scarf down my meal to make it on time. What was really pathetic, is that every table had dirty...dishes on it. They do not care and it shows.Only at a small airport can a crew like this stay in business. My food was good, as was the price, but how hard is it to make a Grilled Cheese Sandwich.More
These guys have the best French fries anywhere in this area. They make real home fries. The breakfast are good also. Lower than usual prices for airports
This is the only place to eat at the Kitimat/Terrace airport and it used to be great, the food is still good but I was a little disappointed by the staff. I wanted breakfast before my flight, but missed the cut off by 5 minutes,...they wouldn't do it. No one else wanted breakfast so it wouldn't have been much trouble, but no. The staff used to be very acommadating and for an airport place the prices were good. The food is still good but not the same service.More
We have only had the French fries here because they are such good fries that we get them everytime we are at the airport.

Thanks flight Deck see you soon :)More
I stopped by to have breakfast waiting to catch a flight to Vancouver. Attendants have very poor manners and although the place was almost empty I had to wait sometime because they were chatting, nobody asked me if I needed anything. I had to ask...them whether I should order the food at the cashier or sit and wait for them. They told me have to order at the cashier which I did. I ordered the French toast special with bacon. I ask for a pair of fried eggs and requested the bacon to be served with the eggs but separated from the French toasts. I thought they took forever to prepare the food and when they served the food on my table they brought the toast on a plate and the bacon on another but no eggs. I advised that I have requested two eggs and the fact that I had requested the bacon on a separate plate than the toasts for that reason. The server looked to me in disbelief and advised that I have not ordered eggs. I insisted that I did and she asked me to go back to the cashier to clarify the matter. As I hate to be fighting about something so stupid I told them that I no longer wanted the eggs. I tried the bacon and it was cold, cold and gummy. I had the toast which were average and a hot liquid they call coffee. Very rude and unwelcoming people. I travel to Terrace fairly often for work but will never ever try anything at this place again.More
