We went with another family, total of 3 kids aged 8-10yrs old. We had 4 pizzas to share, the cauliflower soup, and the taters tots banhmi. The pizzas are so tasty but I find them way too salty for the kids. They have kids pizza the same size choice of cheese or pepperoni, and the sauce is way too salty for them. The cauliflower soup was my favourite thing there!! The tater tots was a winner, more like a salad than a banhmi - just with similar ingredients. Ambiance was nice and chill , low key. Locals like to come there. I don't drink beer but my husband and friends really like their beers! So many choices at reasonable price

I walked into Backcountry and was met with the aroma of pizza and hops. We were greeted by the friendliest host imaginable. As my soul bounced to the table, i scanned the menu on the board to see not one, not two, but THREE sour beers. I sat with my friends and was a little distracted, for i knew that it was Sunday and football was happening with no screens in sight. I tentatively asked our lovely server, Ashley, if that TV turned on, and if so could we possibly watch some ‘ball. She said she would ask. Then appeared Nick, our knight in shining armour, he worked tirelessly finding wires and laptops and plugs until he not only put the football on, but the exact game we were hoping to watch. Bless you, Nick. Bless you.

Great little brewery in Squamish. The atmosphere was good and buzzing with locals. It was hard to get a table. They had a large selection of beers and also served wine for the ladies😜. We ordered a couple of pizzas , a rocket/balsamic salad and a meatball sub. The pizzas were a decent size & delicious. This place is worth stopping for if you’re on your way to Whistler or the Sea to Sky gondola.

We get a lot of take out and have frequented almost every Squamish restaurant. The pizza at Backcountry Brewing is fabulous (the prosciutto fig is our favourite)! Unfortunately, every single time we have gone to BB, we have been met with lukewarm reception. You are made to wait and then met with an arrogant indifference. Where other local restaurants go out of their way to make you feel welcome and valued, BB leaves you wishing you had spent your money somewhere else. It’s too bad because the restaurant has the potential to be a great meet up place (like A-Frame Brewing Co.), but the service leaves a bitter aftertaste.

The food was pretty good, waitress was nice ,unfortunately before we sat down to eat we picked out a couple of sweat shirts with their name on the front. That was $110, right there, We were going to pay there and then but Mandy said she would add it to our total bill, When my son paid he added a 20% bill, not realizing that he was paying a tip for the sweaters. The total cost was over $200.

My boyfriend and I are squamish locals and love going to backcountry, until last night. The staff was extremely unfriendly. No one approached us when we came into the door to get our table and when we finally sat down we watched them attended to every table but ours and finally had to ask to get service. We had to wave them down each time we wanted a new drink, since our empty glasses weren’t enough to have them come over and ask. We watched our food sit in the window and no one ever quality checked our table. I have worked in the industry and understand when it gets busy (and it wasn’t during this time) or if someone is having a off day but this was unprofessional and disappointing. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the food and beer is always amazing.

Amazing beer selection (especially for sours!), amazing pizza (forager is always my order) AND amazing service. Alex was super attentive and because of our experience, we’ll make this a forever stop on our way to Whistler...or might just consider moving to Squamish just to be closer:)

Two of the beers we had were good, but the other one was not. But this is a personal preference and I wouldn’t rate a brewery based on that. The 3 stars is for the kitchen. The food was just ok. The lamb wrap was dry and drowning in what seems to be cumin. The pizza was average, nothing to brag about. But I think you go there for the beer, so 3 stars is fair based on our experience.

It was a warm sunny Saturday. there were plenty of people outside, but I feared sunburn, so I went it. A waitress found me a table, brought me water and a drinks menu. I ordered the Trailbreaker Pale Ale. It certainly quenched my thirst. Also, the staff refilled my water glass every time I drained it.

Fun interior, efficient staff, lots of tasty beer. Backcountry seems to do an especially great job on citrus beers, and the tangerine in the 'I'm Not Even Supposed To Be Here Today' was fantastic. Happy to have an onsite kitchen, and the 'That's Amore' pizza was delish, really excellent pizza. Definitely coming back.

Went for beer and pizza. The beer is fine, drinkable but didn’t blow my socks off. The pizza was good, good flavors and good crust. Our waiter was nice but wasn’t very attentive. Didn’t offer more drinks which is weird at a brewery….

We won a contest and one of the supporters was this company. It offered a prize to try this place out and we enjoyed it. Lots of near by parking and close to town.

Buy the beer and take it home!! The pizza is okay. The chicken sandwich was horrible. The service was atrocious! The waitress was rude and condescending.

My husband drinks IPAs and I drink sours. Backcountry has 5 of each! It's like this place was made just for us!
