We went for dinner there, which we have done many times over the years. The food has always been excellent, my only disappointment was the service. The server was asked if the onion rings were battered or breaded? Her answer was they are breaded, then she said they were breaded/battered, so the person with us did not order them. I said that they are battered,(have had them many times) so we ordered them as an appy, they came battered they were delicious. We placed our order for dinner and 2 of us ordered the Steak & Mushroom pie (very good there), she came back about 5 minutes later to tell us that she had forgot to look at the board when she came in and that they were out of the pie. So we re-ordered from the menu, I was undecide whether to get salad or fries, she suggested half/half, I said sounds good. Our friend had said no salad for her meal, but when it came there was ceasar salad, no big deal. When we got the bills we noticed that I was charged for the salad that I received, that I was not told that I would be charged for $1.25, and my friend that asked for no salad and received one was charged $3.50 without being told that she would be charged. This should definetly have been mentioned at the time of ordering. The food was good, but the service could have been much better.

We recommend the crab cakes, shrimp/mango salad and shepherd’s pie. They have drink specials, great homemade food and a relaxing atmosphere. There is a convenient overflow parking lot across the street if the parking lot in the front is full. We liked that there were tables for all sizes of groups. Service was prompt and genuine.

I live close by. I've been there countless times. It is consistently poor at best. Whenever any place has a 40-page menu, you know you are getting a bunch of frozen crappy Sysco food. The staff is good but the owner deserves to be in prison, where they would get similar food. If that isn't bad enough, go ahead and order some Frank's hot sauce with your food. They bring an ounce or two of it and charge you 99 cents. The location and decor are good. If you want a decent meal, go somewhere else.

Went for Sunday dinner, and no turkey! This used to be my mom's favourite restaurant, but I've seen the disappointment in her face, everytime we've come here since the Covid reopening. She has Alzheimer disease and doesn't remember, insists on coming here all the time and then is so disappointed. She ordered bangers, mash and mushy peas last time out. Mushy peas used to be the vibrant green of fresh or frozen with a hint of mint. I tried them and they were a dull green, and tasted like flour and water. My fish was swimming in oil. Obviously not up to temp. when cooked. My friend had Shepherds pie and the filling was tasty, but the mashed potatoes were a tasteless instant mix. Our other friend had a Caesar salad and found clumps of romaine and rootstock still stuck together and missing what little dressing they trickled on. They are cheaping out on quality, value and trying to cut corners. It wasn't broken;they shouldn't have fixed it. Breakfast was no better. The sausages taste heavily of garlic and fennel, the eggs greasy and the service from a couple of waitresses unfriendly. Won't be going back if I can help it!!

Even though the loud obnoxious waitress wasn't at fault for the food she served, the idiots in the kitchen should know better then to try and pawn off turbot for the halibut burger I ordered. They are going to have to get their pay check from someone else. I was offered something else but that is not the point. I was accused of being aggressive for noticing the difference. Most of the other food I used to love there has gone down hill as well. I have been going there from 3 owners ago but no more.

We encountered the loudest, most obnoxious waitress at this restaurant. Our breakfast of what should be an easy order of bacon and eggs was eventually deemed "lost" in the kitchen after many delays. Our waitress let us know she wasn't at fault! After two hours we were offered free coffee as compensation (...really?) but it gets worse. On paying the bill I was rudely accused of being unappreciative and she made it known to everyone within earshot. Give this trauma zone a pass given the many excellent restaurants in the region.

The first thing I noticed was the very large menu which only means one thing, the majority of the food is frozen. The second thing I noticed after looking around was how dirty the place was. It has very old dirty carpet which has to be harbouring massive amounts of dirt and bacteria. The food came out surprisingly fast, another red flag. Overall the food was as expected.

We used to come here regularly but it just isn't as good...except for the service! Servers are always friendly. Fish and chips are really greasy so I usually order a halibut burger but the last couple times the piece of halibut was so small it wasn't worth the price of the burger.

The food, service, and surroundings were absolutely great at this restaurant. The staff were very conscientious and accommodating to our group of six. Delicious was the word of the day, from appetizers to dessert and everything was reasonably priced. There was a nice selection of beverages too! We loved the atmosphere providing references to aviation and even a rotary engine displayed on the wall.

Had dinner there Sunday. The menu has changed and the selection has been reduced. My favourite turkey dinner was gone from the menu. Had the roast beef dinner special. Almost inedible. The beef texture and taste was that of pre-cooked mystery meat. I hope they get back to normal but it will be a long time before I return. Too bad as it was on my list as a reliable place for a diner type meal. I realize that things have changed due to Covid and people being paid by the government not to work. I suggest that if they are going to reduce the number of offerings, they ensure there is quality in what they do offer.

Been here many times and it used to be pretty good but lately always seem to have an issue. My last visit made me write this review as it’s my final straw (which they don’t give you). Not only was the draft beer warm and flat again, but I literally coughed up a mouthful of dust after my first sip, meaning they don’t clean their beer lines. Or maybe it was mould, in which case consider this my obituary. Not sure why I decided to come again after the last time I visited and was delivered a flat warm beer to wash down the hair that came with my wings, needless to say the way the server dealt with the issue at hand apparently led to her getting fired. But anyway, the food could be good.

We’ve eaten at Mary’s Bleue Moon several times, but this time was a big disappointment. The seafood chowder, advertised as containing haddock, shrimp, clams and other seafood, had absolutely no discernible seafood in it. It had the consistency of wallpaper paste and was a gloopy and tasteless mess of flour, dairy and possibly a piece of potato. It was accompanied by a green salad with sliced mushrooms that looked past their best. I’ve enjoyed meals here in the past so I don’t know what was happening in the kitchen. But if we go back, we won’t be risking the chowder again.

When I called for a reservation the day before they said they don’t make reservations for under groups of six but for a 7:00pm arrival we shouldn’t have a problem getting in. It was busy when we arrived at about 6:50 pm but they seated us and took our order for drinks and our meal in a timely fashion. However, as time dragged on by 7:35 we started to wonder where our meal was. Our waitress seemed to be busy delivering drinks and had to come back twice to confirm a drink order and then meal for one of our party of four. After waiting about 45 minutes I inquired about our meal thinking perhaps it had not been ordered. The waitress apologized and assured me it was coming. When it finally arrived at 8:10 she said they were “short”and it was a long weekend. She must have been aware of this situation when she took our order and could have let us know it would be a long wait. I recognize that everyone is having staffing difficulties but keeping us informed right from the start would have given us the opportunity to go elsewhere or at least better understand. We were absolutely starving and a complimentary bowl of chips or bread would have been a nice gesture!

We sat outside well spaced from other tables. Big tents provided lots of shade. Ordered classic burger (came with fries) which was good. Also ordered onion rings & calamari. So many onion rings I could not finish but tasty. Calamari had quite the pepper batter coating that I ended up peeling the coating off. Did let server know this.
