My husband & I go there regularly. The staff: Lucy, Michelle & Tara are usually our servers & I can’t say enough about how great they are! Always friendly, remember what beer my husband has and really hard workers. The food is always great (...my husband especially enjoys the roast beef or the liver & onions). We encountered the loudest, most obnoxious waitress at this restaurant. Our breakfast of what should be an easy order of bacon and eggs was eventually deemed "lost" in the kitchen after many delays. Our waitress let us know she wasn't at fault! After two hours...we were offered free coffee as compensation (...really?) but it gets worse. On paying the bill I was rudely accused of being unappreciative and she made it known to everyone within earshot. Give this trauma zone a pass given the many excellent restaurants in the region.More
A great little breakfast cafe. One of the best we've ever been to. Creative and vintage. Loved it. Had a hard time deciding between the Breakfast Hash and the Banana Pecan Waffles. Made the right choice for me! 😊
Pretty busy with the lunch crowds but worth the wait for their hamburgers...very good and always the same, no surprises. won't have the special on fish and chip day again but will always go back for the hamburgers and fries.

Even though the loud obnoxious waitress wasn't at fault for the food she served, the idiots in the kitchen should know better then to try and pawn off turbot for the halibut burger I ordered. They are going to have to get their pay check...from someone else. I was offered something else but that is not the point. I was accused of being aggressive for noticing the difference. Most of the other food I used to love there has gone down hill as well. I have been going there from 3 owners ago but no more.More
If I would post minus stars I would. Terrible and traumatized experience ordering a steak sandwich that had to be returned due to over cooking and soggy bread. I was told I could not return the food and it was how it was suppose to...be then I came into the Resturant showed the owner the food / steak by placing it on the table and I was told that I was not welcome back and threatened directly by the owner and told that she was going to call the cops on me. If I could save anyone the terrible food, terrible and traumatic experience of dealing with unreasonable people who should care more about the food and costumers they are serving. Terrible terrible terrible!!More
We had lunch at Mary’s last week. My son had kid’s fish and chips and I had a Rueben sandwich and salad. We also ordered 2 meals to take out for later. Service was excellent, and the food was also extremely good. If such good...food continues we will order from this restaurant weekly +.More
Worst breakfast I have ever had. I had eggs Benny, my daughter had waffles. Sauce had separated, strawberries on waffles tasted like metal, whipped cream looked like it had turned to curds. Potato hash browns were good tho. V quiet for a Sat morning. They...did take coffee and juice off bill. I had ordered a pancake which didn’t come by time we wanted to leave so they took that off too but still was an unsettling brunch.More
We used to come here regularly but it just isn't as good...except for the service! Servers are always friendly. Fish and chips are really greasy so I usually order a halibut burger but the last couple times the piece of halibut was so small it...wasn't worth the price of the burger.More
Visited this eclectic cafe in November on a little island get away. The location is a bit off the beaten path but worth it. Service was very friendly, coffee and tea was tasty and efficiently refilled as needed. Server offered suggestions for choices based on...our desires. We had the halibut and lime wrap with fries which was cooked and assembled to perfection. Highly recommend this. We also had a halibut burger with fries, the server suggested a small addition of coleslaw to the burger to 'amp up' the flavour experience. She was not wrong, absolutely delicious burger with coleslaw. French fries were crispy and fresh. Highly recommend this place for any meal.More
Mom loves it and as we are both NOT GETTING YOUNGER!! I take her anywhere she wants to go.. the food and ambiance is AMAZING !
Very good food and wonderful atmosphere - there is an airplane wing above the bar used to store glassware….and a propeller on the other wall. Very good fish and chips and good chowder too.
Visited for Sunday lunch on a very busy day. Took a long time to get our food, but it was really, really good. Had the beet salad with chicken- chicken was done well. Also a halibut burger on a gluten free bun - very tasty...with good toppings. Also had the killer chocolate cake, which was served with whipped cream. Good overall with very interesting airplane-themed decor.More
The food, service, and surroundings were absolutely great at this restaurant. The staff were very conscientious and accommodating to our group of six. Delicious was the word of the day, from appetizers to dessert and everything was reasonably priced. There was a nice selection of...beverages too! We loved the atmosphere providing references to aviation and even a rotary engine displayed on the wall.More
