German/Indian fusion: what an intriguing combination! We came across this unusual restaurant in Revelstoke & thought we'd give it a try. We began with (uninspiring, too sweet) Pisco sours - because why not add Peruvian to the combination? Our party ordered a variety of dishes, including curried goat, goulash with red cabbage and spaetzle, butter chicken schnitzel plus another curry with rice and nan bread. The general consensus was that while our meals were good, they were somewhat on the heavy side, and definitely expensive. The restaurant is lacking a bit of atmosphere and for what we paid I would have preferred a bit more finesse from the locale. I'd give Paramjit's Kitchen only somewhere between an average/very good rating: top marks for originality, high marks for the spaetzle, but just so-so in terms of everything else. I probably would not return.

What a great find. We were sold as soon as we saw they had bratwurst wonton as a starter. And that’s what it was. For main I had buttered chicken with spätzle. The waiter said “as you’re British, we will add extra spice”. And they did and it was really good.
A really interesting experience and not what we had expected.

My partner and I were staying in Revelstoke for one night and made the brilliant decision to have dinner at Paramjit’s Kitchen.
The waitress was lovely and very accommodating, she was very helpful with allergy information. I have a nut allergy and could eat here no problem. I had the samosas which were AMAZING, really tasty and big portion size. My partner had the pakoras which were equally delicious! i had chicken schnitzel as main course and it was so nice, I could’ve eaten it again if I wasn’t so full up. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Not sure if it’s possible to prebook a table, but it was definitely a popular choice in town and rightly so! Unfortunately didn’t have a chance to take any photos of the food as I wolfed it down as soon as it arrived on the table 😂

Tall white male server displayed racist behavior. Despite being on time for our reservation, he hesitated to seat us - even with multiple tables that could accommodate our party of 3. Then he avoided taking our order. Then after our order was finally taken, none of our food was brought out until after 5 other tables that were seated and ordered after us had FINISHED eating. It was absurd. Very disappointing, this server should be fired.

The food was good, but on the skimpy side. The service was bad including no one to ask how your meal is once you get served, can I get you more to drink or is there anything else you need. Finally someone asked us AFTER we were done eating.

Food quality VARIES CONSIDERABLY, depends on what you order! Some very good, others…. But the worse thing of all is the service. The food came sporadically, half an hour or more between people at the same table! One order was entirely lost. If they cannot feed you in a reasonable length of time, they should turn customers away. It is clearly popular BUT IMHO it needs a serious shakeup! Not recommened.

We stopped by on a Monday evening during the offseason. Most of the restaurants in town close on Mondays and Tuesdays after mid-September, we were told. Not this place. It was packed in the good way that shows everyone local is eating there, The owner worked the counter and knew nearly everyone that came in. The German-Indian fusion was unexpected but REALLY good. A great family-run operation.

I stopped in Revelstoke on a drive from Banff to Salmon Arm, BC and came upon Paramjit's Kitchen offering Indian and German food. I ordered their schnitzel for take out and then ate it that evening. It was delicious - the schnitzel and the accompanying potatoes!

We stopped at Revelstoke for a quick brunch before we head back to Calgary and saw this place. It was interesting to look at the menu at first since they have Indian, Thai, and German options for food, they also have some fusion options. I decided to order their Butter Chicken Schnitzel, and it was soo good!! The place was a bit empty and it was probably because everyone was going for cafes but this is definitely a hidden gem.

This restaurant deserves to disqualify as the Indian food restaurant. They are destroying the name of it. Be it Their guey doughy naan, curry or tandoori chicken. Nothing tastes like Indian food. I am pretty sure they might not even have a tandoor. For the high price and the below average taste they could have atleast given good quantity or good service. Oh no they don't bother.

The unique culinary experience was a given: Indian German fusion is not something you encounter everyday. On that front, this place delivered better than could be imagined: butter chicken schnitzel on Spatzle; schnitzel pad Thai, all with a side of sauerkraut. After we ordered, we heard the schnitzel being freshly pounded in the kitchen. It was 9:00pm and locals were streaming in and out—couples, municipal workers in their reflective vests, and groups. Better even than the food was the experience. We were not comfortable with indoor dining yet, there was a small table on the sidewalk on a chilly October evening, and they let four of us sit there. We were served outside with goodwill, fun and acceptance. Not a drinking establishment, when we asked what wine they had, we were told it was in a box…when tried to order the box, we were asked if we really wanted 8L of wine. We laughed, got a glass each and were merry. We then each got another glass. We ordered so much food that the staff brought an extra table outside to the sidewalk. The experience was magical and unlike anything else anywhere. Worth the trip to Revelstoke.

Very nice people, food was decent, price point was ok.
Service needed a bit of work.
Biggest coaching i can offer is a brush up on food safe practices. Multiple people rubbing their faces and then touching our plate without handwashing. It was offputting. While I never saw them touch the food, the missteps should be addressed.

What…..A German-Indian hybrid? YES, it can be done and done well at Paramjit’s Kitchen in downtown Revelstoke. Wonderful service, well presented, and delicious! We had Lamb Rogan Josh, Butter Chicken, and Butter Chicken Schnitzel, with a side of bratwurst and naan. So don’t be afraid, give it a try!

Crispy tandoori chicken with avo and amazing onion rings.

Deliciously unexpected, the cultural food mix at Parmajit’s is wildly successful. Who knew you could mix German, Thai, and Indian food so courageously? Butter chicken schnitzel was divine, red coconut curry was so creamy and satisfying. A real find!
