During the long haul from Calgary to Vancouver, we stopped in Revelstoke for a break. Checking online for our options in the town, La Baguette looked good , so we pulled in. I have gluten and dairy issues, so we were hoping that there would be things that fit that profile.
And how!
The smoked-meat sandwich I got was very tasty, with a generous portion of meat and zingy mustard - and the bread it was on caused me to stop and check that it was really GF. It had chew and crunch (two things I still miss in my post-gluten world) and actually held together throughout the whole meal instead of disintegrating into chunks and crumbs the way most do. My wife had the veggie burger, and we both felt we had had the best sandwiches we had encountered in a very, very long time.
I passed this on to one of the servers and was informed that my bread is made in house, and for sale at the attached market kiosk. We trundled by and picked some up. Great toast!
I don't know what excuse we'll have to be in Revelstoke again any time soon, but we'll be back at La Baguette if we do.

A few years back, I wrote a review of the La Baguette shop at Revelstoke Mountain; it's a good place, but the main branch in Revy town is much better in every way.
First, it's just a much nicer, roomier space. The tables made of cross-sections of trees and polished concrete are beautiful. There's a cozy area with a fireplace. The menu is much more extensive, and there are breads and pastries to take away.
We've had a few meals there this week, and everything has been uniformly very good: the coffees, sandwiches, breakfasts, and snacks. And it's a nice place to just chill.

La Baguette was highly recommended to us so we stopped by for a snack during our travels. We unfortunately arrived late in the day and the selection was limited but that was our fault. We were still fortunate to grab a couple of yummy treats and I have to say, I wish I grabbed some more to have later on. Hands down the best trail mix cookie I have ever had. My son had the brownie and he inhaled it. Next time we drive through Revelstoke, we will definitely be making a stop.

Stopped here for breakfast on a weekday. Not too busy and really nice atmosphere inside. Small but standard menu for breakfast, and noticed some good selections of craft beer which made me want to return for dinner. Food was delicious and a good price, but we interacted with multiple staff and every one of them was unfriendly and rude, making even simple requests like water seem like a burden.

Had the turkey yam wrap, deli baguette and all of their wonderful cookies and bars. Everything is excellent and delicious. Their catering to Selkirk Tangiers heli skiing is fabulous, including the miso soup with a sharp ginger bite.

I don't have much to say about our experience for breakfast other than it was....Okay. just okay. My wife ordered eggs benny and the eggs came out super hard, like bouncy balls. That is not how poached eggs shoukd be. They were nice enough to fix it immediately but any chef / cook should know not to serve eggs like that. I tried the red latte, wish i hadn't. Regular is better. Staff were friendly-ish.

Bad Customer Service
I always be there every 1 or 2 weeks and get used to buy take away food and sat outside patio to enjoy food. But today , there is no instruction to let guest know that they separate the dine in or take out patio. When we buy food and sat at one of available patio. The supervisor said we dun allow to sit over there and we need to sat another take-away patio . only two table over there, one is occupied by guest and another table reserved for their staff. So we can not sit anywhere even there are patio available . That is very rude and I never experience like this. I love the food, but the service is very bad. Hopefully they have clear instruction to the guests and try to arrange the best to guest instead rudely forbid guest.

As we were heading out of town heading to Jasper, we stopped by here to get some sandwiches for a picnic and coffee for the drive. The maple latte and pastries were enjoyable. When we stopped at Bowman lake for a picnic, we found a great picnic table by the lake. What we also found were great sandwiches. The bread, the meat, the flavors are all excellent. The perfect picnic!

Don’t like placing an order and including a tip before even being served the food. You have it all backwards.
The food was plain and average. I’ll say it tasted like I was served leftovers at my grandmothers house, and she doesn’t cook.
McDonald’s would have been far tastier than this.

The viennoiseries and bread were very good. The coffee was perfect too. But the service, terrible. People who ordered coffee had to wait outside because of the COVID restrictions and that is OK. But everyone outside we’re talking how bad the demeanor is of the tall lady making coffee and the short Caucasian long hair lady who was very unfriendly towards the customers. There was an Asian girl in the cashier who kept mum with how the other two ladies give their snobby service to the clientele. They were probably having a bad day. Nevertheless, they show no training acquired to be working in such industry.

The baked goods are so beautiful here, its awesome.
One of my favourite things is the Montreal smoked meat sandwich.
It's one of the few smoked meat sandwiches so named that truly compares to one you would get in Montreal.
There are some comments about bad service in other reviews, but I've always had good service, if sometimes a little business like.

In Revelstoke, you have to go to La Baguette. It’s a real nice little grocery with a lot of organics products and good cheeses at really good prices. Next door, you will find the restaurant. I’ve just ordered some cappuccinos and they were very good.

I ordered at 8:30 for ASAP pick up and got there for just before 8:45 but I waited in the online order section till 9:05. I was just ignored and not acknowledged by any staff members in my vicinity. I understand they had a rush but it’s seems like la bag had had a staffing issue for a while due to how busy it is. This is very annoying as I used to love getting coffee there but it’s not worth the long wait whenever you go even if you online order

McDonalds and A&W on Hwy 1 were ridiculously busy so we drove into town to see what we could find, and stumbled on to La Baguette.
This works like a deli on one side where you stand in line to order your food.
We enjoyed our sandwiches, which came in short order ( ten minutes) in spite of the place being very busy. We dined outside on one of their tables and enjoyed the sunshine.

The hotel provided breakfast but I wanted something to take along on the road. Recommended to me was the smoked salmon with cream cheese on a bagel which I happily nibbled as I drove along the trans Canada highway to Canmore. The bakery itself has a number of delicious looking sandwiches, pastries, coffees etc. Very comfortable setting on the main drag into Revelstoke. Opens earl - 0630! for those wanting to stoke up before hitting the slopes.
