It was 3pm so instead of lunch we stopped for a late snack. The carrot cake was massive and decently priced. Not overly sweet. The place was clean and they were busy cleaning up after what looked like a busy day.

I had an amazing pizza on foccacia bread and took some of the treats to my family. The hippie balls and turtle snickerdoodles were a big hit with everyone. Busy place but they are very attentive to each customer

Best bakery we've found so far after three weeks in BC. Truly bewildering selection of tasty treats. Great coffee too.

Walking through downtown looking for somewhere to have lunch we saw a long queue here and thought that was a good sign. We had the sausage burrito and breakfast panini - both were excellent and I wished I had taken a photo of the burrito in particular as you certainly got a LOT for your money. We went back for... You know you're in a fantastic bakeshop when you see the locals come in constantly, and Revelstoke is a small place, so to be constantly filled is a testament of how delicious the stuff is here. We had the lemon meringue tart which was excellent, and the bread that came with the soup (and the soup) was fabulous. Service was... More

I've been here many times. Every time any of my family stop in Revelstoke they always stop at the Modern. They have lots of yummy baked goods and some are even gluten-free. They also have lots of things you can have for lunch. They do sometimes get very busy but it is worth the wait. It is busy for a... More

What a great place to drop in as we passed through Revelstoke today. Busy with fresh and extremely temping delights. Brew a mean cup of Java.

After stumbling into this place, we've made it our Calgary to Vancouver stopever for the past three years. Great coffee, friendly service, great baked goods - in a world of fast food bull and chic chic nouveau coffee houses, this place captures the very best of small town Canadian rockies life. Friendly locals, outside seating..... just a really honest and... More
