Popped in here 20 minutes before they were due to close, but still no problem eating in, and no rush to finish and let them close. The menu is fish (surprise!), with the choice of cod, halibut or salmon, and also a choice of how you wanted it - in English batter, pano breadcrumb, or grilled. Having chosen the cod,... More

Friends recommended this place to us the place was an old church which has been renovated into a restaurant which looks great. There fish is fresh and tasty the batter was nice but not like you would get in the UK even though they tell you it is on the menu. It made a rainy afternoon go past very quickly.

Very good, I had the halibut in panko batter Mrs H had the cod which I shared. Batter was described as traditional English batter, but I won't say it matches our London batter but is very good. The location is quirky as it is a repurposed church which which retains its original features. Staff were friendly and professional, and I... More

OMG! The absolute best fish and chips I have ever had. I ordered battered cod with fries and cole slaw and my husband had fire grilled salmon with chips and salad plus we both had the extra prawn skewer.. incredible. Definitely recommend this wonderful little place. Great service too!

Stopped in for lunch on our way to Tofino and we're sure glad we did. The food and the service were fantastic! I had the pub style cod which was melt in your mouth delicious. So light and tastely, not at all greasy. My friends had the fire grilled halibut and gave it rave reviews. The chips, salad, coleslaw and... More

First we checked Trip Advisor and then headed out to find the restaurant in the pouring rain. When we found the place closed, we looked across the street and there, was Bare Bones!!! Lucky us!! What a neat place. A simple, healthy menu made ordering quick and food arrived quickly as well, right after the wine. It was fun to... More
