Finally made it to eat here! We always eat at the casino when we visit Port Alberni (20 years!!). We were very disappointed with our last experience on our anniversary in June. Prices were ridiculous, service was bad, food was awful and menu has been...slashed! We googled after the last visit and decided we would give Little Bavaria a try. What a wonderful experience. We brought friends with us. We had a beautiful meal from the moment we arrived, until we left. No wonder Little Bavaria is #1 in Port Alberni. I personally recommend it. The food and menu are very good. The staff are amazing. Salad or soup are included with your meal and lighter portions are available. The green salad was delicious, accompanied with warm potato salad and a vegetable salad with your choice of dressing. Our party had different types of schnitzel. All were delicious with various toppings and sauces and very generous portions. One of our party had the cabbage rolls, I tried them, and they were very good, the sauce on them really enhanced the flavour! You also got your choice of starch and vegetables. This is the place for a great taste of Germany! We were all very full after our meal, but we did share the lemon chocolate cheesecake 😋 To top off our meal, the owner Brandon came to our table to welcome us and introduce himself. How nice is that? He is a local resident and has upkept the original team. Brandon also tries to support local businesses. The service, food and happiness of the staff truly reflects this leadership and owner. We had Nicole as our server, she was very thorough and experienced in her work. I am a red seal, city and guilds of London chef with 45 years in the industry and I highly recommend this local business. It is worth the trip if you live outside the area. Don't forget to make a reservation though, it is very busy and rightfully so!!More

From the service to the food to the atmosphere, this place is always amazing. The servers are lovely and very personal. Although we almost always get the same delicious meals, they are so flavourful. Even with a change of ownership, things seem to have stayed...very much the same - which is great! This place has the secret formula! We highly recommend it to others and go there for all our special occasions. Even takeout has been great.More

Always love birthday dinners ! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Still have so many things to try if I can ever make room in my stomach, always so filling ! Can’t wait till next time I’m back

Love the decor in the restaurant, staff are always so wonderful and friendly and the food is always amazing! As a local this is my favorite restaurant, I recommend getting the platter for two (its really enough for four!)

Things don’t change here at this restaurant and we like that! The food here has been the same for the 30 years I’ve been eating here, and you can trust they serve great hot food. We went here for my wife's birthday dinner tonight. Both the service and food was excellent. We shared the platter for two, large portion and very tasty! To top it off, the owner came around to all tables and greeted everyone, great dining experience!

Little restaurant with big name - please come in hungry, as you won’t be able to complete the serving - great price - tasty food - if you are European you might be disappointed as the name of the serving is not what you expect...to get - however it’s delicious, excellent service and pleasant and welcoming staffMore

My Husband and I both had some great schnitzel at this lovely little restaurant and we were not disappointed. Michelle our server was terrific and it was a nice touch that Brandon, Owner, came out to welcome us and say hello. The meal was filling...and we had to bring the Apple Strudel back to our hotel for a late dessert.More

We were 3 adults. We had great schnitzel the first night we ate here. Delicious side dishes. The black forest cake is the lightest and tastiest I have ever had. We went to Ucluelet the next day but our son insisted on zipping us back...to eat here again. The cordon bleu schnitzel is amazing. We were not disappointed. I think they could lighten up the decor but the cuckoo clocks brought back memories of trips to Austria.More

For over 35 years I’ve treated family and friends to dinner at this lovely restaurant. I’ve seen 2 ownership changes yet the food, service and experience remains genuinely authentic. When my daughters come back to town for a visit “little B’s” is always on the...list! It’s not a must do, it’s a “when are we doing?” Lol recently we ordered the platter for 3 with a side of seafood white wine sauce and it definitely exceeded expectations!!! So love this option because really, who can decide on just one schnitzel when you can try them all! 😋More
