Took relatives from Ontario to lunch at Tigh-Na-Mara, there were four of us, service was excellent and the facility first class. Two of us had burgers which were good. My wife had a spinach salad which came with 1/2 an egg, two strawberries and not...much else, mostly just a small bowl of spinach, my cousin ordered the pizza which I had recommended as we had ordered them for takeout during the pandemic, it had not much of anything on it and would have been OK at $10 but woefully inadequate at over $20. I was interested in the Mac N Cheese on the menu for $20 but staff warned that it too was a small serving. Overall perception was too small servings at too high a price, nice as the place is we won't be back.More

Met friends for lunch. Seated by the fireplace which was lovely as a cool overcast day. Not many diners so distancing was not an issue. We ordered the crab cakes and the Cajun Chicken Burger. While the 2 crab cakes were delicious, they weren't very...filling. I would suggest ordering a side salad to accompany. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the good service.More

The food over all was great, but the service was spectacular!! Our waiter Mark S. Went above and beyond to make my Batchelorette dinner amazing! He was very friendly and Cleary enjoyed his job! Treated every table like they were the queen and made sure...that all his tables had their needs met. He was always smiling, and it was contagious!More

I took my partner here for his birthday. The drinks (Caesar’s, shafts) were very good. I had a Buddha bowl-type entree with shrimp added- it was 10/10. He had the surf and turf and it was unfortunately not up to standard for a $70 meal....The lobster was a bit undercooked and definitely pre-frozen; steak was a bit overcooked. Carrots were completely raw. However, the service was outstanding and we enjoyed our visit. Will be back to try again.More

We had an excellent dinner on February 15th. Both meals (Beef short rib gnocchi & NY striploin steak with peppercorn sauce) were seasoned beautifully, arrived hot and served with delicious heritage carrots & asparagus. The Winter salad appie was also delicious. The service was excellent...and we were thoroughly pleased. This was our third time at Cedars restaurant; the first time (2020) was excellent and the second time (2021) was very disappointing so we were really pleased that this meal exceeded our expectations. Thanks!!More

Wednesdays were half price appies. Good selection and taste. Come early as it gets busy. Both visits were a group of six.

My spouse and I were at the resort for the weekend, and had breakfast and dinner here. Food was very good and the service excellent. At dinner, three of our party had steak, one had the vegetable curry. Steaks were tender, cooked as ordered, carrots...could have been cooked a bit more. It would be nice if bread, or rolls and butter were served, or a salad, something just a little more than just the entree. Desserts were good, the portions were shareable. Our server was attentive and pleasant, and we enjoyed ourselves.More

We have stayed as guests at Tigh na Mara resort a few times now and always had a fantastic dining experience at Cedars. The food is top notch no matter what you choose. The service is absolutely above and beyond. Mark is the best server...around! If you have young children, you will appreciate the little touches of having step stools on the bathrooms (such a simple addition and much appreciated for the parents who don’t have to lift their kids to the sink!) as well as the fact they bring crackers and veggies and dip for the kids while we are waiting for our main courses. While it has the vibe of fine dining they cater to children and that is HUGE!More

Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort is an all-season destination property noted for its unique log constructed accommodation units in a natural forested setting on the shores of Rathtrevor Beach. Tigh offers guests a full range of daily activities from whale watching to just strolling the woodlands....Onsite amenities include the Grotto Spa with its Treetop Culinary Space, fitness centre, meeting and wedding areas. Within the resort, the Cedar restaurant is the principle eatery and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is equipped with a cute bar for drinks and cocktails. The Cedars is home to a handsome natural gas wood stove weighing in at 6000 pounds. Guests are tickled pink watching the culinary team masterfully cook dishes on display in the open kitchen like seafood skittles and rustic artisan pizzas. The menu is chucked full of delicacies Like Seafood Classics in the form of Crab Cakes to Busting Burgers like the Braised Short Rib BBQ Burger. The Mains are heavy on Chicken with the likes of Chicken Supreme and still more seafood with Cedar Plank Wild Salmon. Can't forget the meatier items all certified Angus Beef and calorie conscious desserts in the form of carrot cake or more portly dishes like New York Cheesecake. I supped on Cajun Spice Rockfish & Roasted Butternut Squash Soup.......a delicious app and main pair. The Peanut Butter Pie quenched my sweet tooth in fine fashion and the B52 Specialty Coffee was a sturdy solid punch....oops caffeinated concoction. The open kitchen and the theatre that it provided enhanced the service level of the staff and my culinary experience. So if you are looking for a forested resort which is activity centric and comes with a savoury locally themed restaurant sporting rustic dishes, and an artisan, open kitchen, stone pizza oven and able to provide the nourishment for an another round of activity.........the try the...........Cedars Restaurant & Lounge ........a King Kong Open Wood Stove.More
