I was there on a Friday afternoon and could not understand why the place was not packed. There is a lovely patio with a great view. They serve BC wines exclusively and will pour a flight if you like. I didn't eat but the food...offerings looked interesting. Definitely worth visiting.More

Have taken my parents here several times. Despite the variety of high quality food in Nelson it is always my first pick. Literally so delicious and I appreciate that they rotate the menu.

I can highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing, I had the Filet Mignon and my wife had the ravioli. Wine selection was good and the sticky toffee pudding to share was a great finish. Support this eatery, it’s a good one.

we had dinner here with 5 guys (from the Netherlands) doing a ski trip around BC. Found this restaurant on Tripadvisor. We were stunned with the quality. We literally had all starters from the "starters" tapa menu, all of those were exquisite. The mains we...had were also fantastic. Don't want to sound presumptuous but quality was of "European standard", unlike most of the other restaurants we've visited in BC. The wines and the Ginto's were also excellent. A big compliment for the chef who we didn't get to see, as well as the lady attending us.More

As they say, all good things come in three’s! ..well maybe that’s not quite what they say, but that’s what we’re saying after trying the Sage’s Burger Month special. It’s not just one, or even two, but THREE tasty little sliders!! They pair perfectly with...a pint of @nelsonbrewingcompany Bent Pole IPA, or a refreshing glass of homemade kombucha. Their wine menu is extensive and the ambiance of this little place will have you settling in for another round. The demand for a table here is high so make sure to make your reservation before heading over!More

Went here when we were let down by another restaurant. The service was super friendly and efficient and the tapas was delicious and different. Loved the Caesar Salad tapas. Amazing vegetarian selection and phenomenal view!

I really enjoyed my dinner experience at Sage. Compelling location at the very walkable edge of downtown, with a fairly sizable outdoor patio one could enjoy in the summer months. Interior is cozy and suitable for a special occasion or romantic meal. Service is highly...professional and efficient. The food I had (beet salad appetizer and sous vide pork tenderloin with apples) were both excellent. So too was the BC-grown Malbec that accompanied it - a bit unusual on the face (given the climate difference between the Mendoza and Okanagon valleys), but it was seriously good juice. Loved the ‘acoustic cover’ background music. Wouldn’t classify as a tapas restaurant per se (not Spanish influenced, nor are there an abundance of shareable small plates) but it was excellent food nonetheless. Highly Recommended!More

Wine on the patio as the sun set. Perfect. Throw in delicious small plates, Heaven. Lots of good dishes, tough to choose. All our plates tasted yummy. Good wines by the glass, excellent service. Need to return.
