We always go and eat here when we visit Nelson. I love the tacos. Great atmosphere too. We visited after a recent trip to Mexico and the food and drink did not disappoint

The Cantina was a welcome destination after our white-knuckle drive over the Salmo-Creston Pass. We were greeted by friendly staff and a spectacular ginger-cardamom margarita. Even though the kitchen was closed and staff was probably ready to get on with their Christmas Eve plans, they...rustled up some food for these wayward travellers. It was a stellar experience after a long, hard drive. I highly recommend it!More

Long story short my daughter was in town, we went to a differant resturant for dinner ended up with really bad service over 50 min wait for cold food -got it put in a take out container, didnt want to spend one more second in...this place was so disappointing , anyways so headed for home , we needed to make a quick stop on Baker St , turns out we got a parking spot right outside Cantina -del-Centro, Lets call it fate we had nothing to lose at this point .... turns out it was the best decision ever to go in , got seated right away , great service, great food it totally turned our night around . So big shout out to the staff , amazing teamwork that night , Jenni Lane & Samantha for taking great care of us , can't thank you enough.More

Jenni was fantastic! So fun and great service. It was a busy night but still all the staff were attentive and helpful.

While the food, service and drinks were great... 25% tip and UP suggestion is a REAL put OFF. Yes food cost have gone up and I agree with tipping for great service. However when I'm asked to leave 25% it's makes me NOT want to...come back to your place of business. Pay your staff so your customers aren't expected too pick up your responsibilities as a business owner.More

Every time I go to Cantina del Centro, I am amazed at the workers ambience under Mackenzie’s leadership. They are efficient, friendly and all seem to be genuinely having a good time. Had delicious duck tacos. Our server Jenni Lane was rad; we asked her to mix us a surprise drink she thought we’d like, based on our preferred tastes, and she came up with a mysterious, delicious, unguessable potion! Great meal with 3 friends. Our server was really helpful and made sure we had a great experience. Wide range of Margaritas to choose from and some excellent specials. Couldn't decide on dessert so had one of each between us!
