This is a wonderful place to come for quiet dinner or drinks. It's kid free so the atmosphere is cosy and intimate. I've been with friends and with my husband. Great food and service.

Nice menu and the food we ordered was pretty good. There was a live band playing above or below and it pretty much rocked the restaurant as well, so not what we expected that way. Location is just a block below Baker Street.

Always fantastic food. High quality ingredients and a cozy atmosphere. Servers are great and there is commonly live entertainment.

This is literally one of my favourite places. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet, perfect for going for lunch with friends you actually want to chat with. All the benefits of a pub, without the pounding music, tv's, sports, or radio. The pizza is particularly good (though indulgent!).

Satisfied in every way that you can be in a dinning experience, is a very hard thing to come by. The Library Lounge, is one of those rare gut delights. On a cold winters night, the warmth of a fire, a fine selection of festive spirits, hearty food, merry staff, astonishing live music, is well worth the copper's.

We ordered the borscht thinking it would be a traditional beet borscht. This one wasn't (more of a general vegetable soup) but it was absolutely delicious. Possibly the best soup I've had in a restaurant ever.

Best soup you've ever had in a restaurant ever? That is a seriously great accolade. I will be sure to share it with the kitchen crew. Thanks for the decent score - we hope to have you back and will strive for a five out of five next time. Happy New Year from all of us at the historic Hume... More

Great food, super friendly staff and a really Cozy vibe. This is one of nelsons most historical buildings and is worth dropping in for a hot tottie in the winter.

The Hume Hotel has three different food outlets to eat in that offer the same menu and a vast array of food. A family restaurant called the General Store, an intimate fireside lounge featuring live jazz called the Library Lounge or a lively, old English-style bar called Mike's Place Pub. We cook up amazing steaks, pastas, seafood, the '100 Mile Burger', sandwiches, salads and homemade desserts. We are also known for a legendary Sunday Brunch that goes from 11am - 2pm every Sunday. We are popular for our consistency, generous portions, food quality and reasonable prices all to be enjoyed in a character atmosphere that was built in 1898. There is no place like the Hume.
