I arrived to town quite late

I arrived to town quite late and the restaurant next to my motel is closed so I ordered for delivery and luckily this restaurant still opens and does delivery. I ordered sweet and sour pork. Food was mediocre. I never had a sweet and sour pork with only just meat and no other vegetables. They also charged $5 for all order under $35. But this is the best I could have at 8:30pm on Friday.

Four of us were seated but only 3 ate from the buffet. We ordered water and one green tea. The vegetables were very under cooked the rest of the food was fresh and good. $71.00 for 3 people is very high for a buffet, I've eaten in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg and usually it's just over $10.00 a plate per person.

Lack of Care

Tried the buffet more than once and is getting worse each time. Some of the meat tasted off, tasteless chow mein. Just seems like no one cares. Nice waitress that seemed like she didn't want to be there.

Nothing good to say....

Over cooked, dried out, tough, ginger chicken and shrimp. Tasteless noodles and rice. “Dessert” was jello, carrot sticks(?), fruit salad (of only honeydew melon), cookies and ice cream for an EXTRA $1.00 per scoop. Four people- 2 seniors and 2 children (1 drink) = $78 !!! AVOID this restaurant, as it has no redeeming factors.

Very disappointing

Went with friends for the buffet. It was very poor in all aspects. Our server disappeared after taking our drink order. The food dishes on the buffet needed to be refilled badly. There was no sushi to begin with, it came later. The overall quality was poor to say the least. Tough, dry ribs. Wings overcooked. We were charged $2.50 per person for tea, only one pot of tea was served. Daylight robbery and we won't go back again ever.

I hope this was just a Really bad day

I am usually able to see good in every situation but the dinner we tried to enjoy was terrible. We arrived at 4:00 pm and the buffet appeared to be in full swing but were we surprised. Every item on the buffet table was cold! As a new item would come out from the kitchen, it was hot but all the many other dishes already there were cold and tasted just horrible including ice cold won ton soup.. We brought this to the attention of the waitress and even though she appeared surprised, she did indeed check. OH, they usually are open all day but today the cook was late so the warming trays had not been turned on but they opened minutes before our arrival anyway, which left them obviously unprepared to serve a descent meal. Then please tell me and I would have ordered off the menu ensuring a fresh hot meal. I was promised hot food in minutes off the buffet but after 30 minutes, everything was still cold and I did not care to eat reheated food anyway. Our tea was hot and that was all. During our wait we were subjected to our waitress blocking us in our booth as she told us all about her boyfriend, personal family health concerns and anything else she could think of. She also shared her ability to use foul language and fit it right into her conversation. We finally said we just could not stay any longer and we were told they would reduce our bill. I WOULD HOPE SO! We were unable to eat anything! They said as we had tried to eat several times, we did have some food and told us our bill for 2 buffets was $30.00 WHAT? I did not know the original bill would come to that but I could not get a straight answer from anyone just what the buffet actually did cost. I questioned this and she checked with the owner who left a young waitress to deal with us and she came up with 2 more unacceptable offers. The whole situation was just wrong. Finally they charged us $10.00 for one pot of tea and we left, never to return.

False advertising for delivery

I was told that if you order over $30.00 it was free delivery. I told them I was staying at the Best Western Hotel and gave my room number and they said no problem about 40 minutes. They took longer than that and when the driver arrived, he handed my a bill with a $5.00 delivery charge because they claimed it was over 3km. It's a small town. They can't tell me that they didn't know their Kilometers to the Best Western. They also didn't provide any utensils for for the food. Food was barely warm when it arrived and average rating for flavor. Won't be ordering from them again.

Not the same..

I treated my brother out for dinner with him and his friend, as a treat for completing his grade and onto the next... I used to love this restuarant. But its just not the same :\ cold, hard, and greasy.

Food made us both sick.

The food was a bit cold and soggy, but we were to lazy to leave. My wife was in the bathroom (which was disgusting) before we ever left. I had to hit the head about an hour after we left. Even it we had not been sick the selection is poor and the quality is just not worth the money.

End of the day just I dinner

Most of the buffet was empty most of the item was available it was pork and I don't eat pork it was average little overpriced

Had better else where

I visited this restaurant twice. The first time the food was good, but the second time the noodles and bbq pork were over cooked. I had a $2 glass of coke and when I went to get a second glass I got what was left of an open can and topped up with a fresh can.

Good buffet but small selection and over-priced.

This quaint little restaurant has a pretty good buffet considering the size of the establishment. There were about 10 items on the buffet plus a tiny bit of dessert and a little bit of sushi. The spring rolls they had were delicious as were their vegetable dishes. The rice was fairly bland and their egg foo young had a flour taste that was less than pleasant. The bulk of the food was delicious, but there just wasn't enough selection considering the rather hefty price they charged for the buffet. The service was excellent, but they need to reduce their prices before I would consider going back.

Buffet Not worth $16

Most of the food was bland.. i.e. Noodle dish, Won ton soup but the pork ribs were super salty and under cooked. They had sushi .. sort of. It was a good attempt but not executed well. We had just driven12 hours so it was better than McDonalds but we wouldn't stop there again.

There's Something About This Place...

My wife and I have had lunch here before. This time we were in town for a doctor's appointment and headed over to enjoy the lunch buffet before the lunch rush. We found a tour bus in the parking lot when we pulled in and thought we may not get in. Upon entering we were pleased to see that the bus tour patrons were off to one side. The food selection in the buffet is not huge, but what you get is extremely delicious. For some reason there was an abundance of pork items this time around. That may have been because the tour bus had eaten most of the beef items? Regardless, I was very much impressed with the pork dishes. The chow mein, spring rolls and everything else I tried was excellent. Service is a bit slow, but when I'm there I just hit the buffet so it's not an issue. The dessert selection was a bit on the skimpy side today, so I just had some more dried pork. It was worth it! Highly recommended. Thank you!
