Our Go To Place in Merritt!

My wife and I pass through Merritt multiple times from spring to fall and we always stop at Game On Sports Bar. The food is always very good. We have our favourites and usually order the same thing each time. My wife’s favourite is the veal cutlets with loaded bake potato. I discovered Game On’s cheese burger which I think is one of the best that I have ever eaten. So I have this every time. We enjoy playing Keno while enjoying our meal. Jenn gave us excellent service. Game On is following COVID protocols. They are collecting contact information and all staff are wearing masks. I recommend Game On in Merritt!

Went to Game On Pub Saturday Sept 24th. Was staying across the Highway at the Best Western Plus. Was busy bu the a table was cleared and cleaned in no time. Waitress prompt and curteous Had spaghetti and meatballs and could not finish due to generous portions of pasta and lots of big meatballs. Tasty

First time here and had a stopover lunch and our experienced was good. The first thing I’ve noticed is that staff are not wearing face coverings but tables were setup for social distancing. The foods we’ve ordered are very good from presentation to taste. I love my Clam Chowder and Onion Rings are very good with crispy breading.

Poor Quality Food

Tried this one evening when passing through Merritt. Nice location but the food left a lot to be desired. We ordered an appetizer of Calamari which came swimming in fat and with soggy batter. The bowl on Clam Chowder had plenty of clams and was a good portion but it was extremely salty plus the accompanying garlic toast was swimming in butter and soggy. The fish and chips was OK, the fish was quite good with a crispy non fatty batter but once again the fries were extremely fatty and were soggy. We were not impressed as this being the standard pub fare. There are better choices.

Won't be back

Went there a few weeks ago. They did have a book to sign in if you wanted to for contact tracing which was good. Not mandatory. Came into the pub and the bartender yelled at us to wait at the door to be help. She was very unfriendly and annoying throughout our visit. She is so loud I think she just wanted every patron to know she was the boss. She was rude to the employees in the pub. Was seated and our waitress (along with all the others) where not wearing any face coverings. Waitress even reached right in front of me, while talking, and put our food and drinks on the table even though we sat in a way that she could have easily placed the items at the end of our table away from us. Not once did we see anyone wash their hands after touching dirty customer plates or glasses, then proceeded to touch customer food from the passthrough and grab drink glasses. Food was OK, no complains there but since they have ZERO respect for Covid protocols, we will never be back.

Because of covid19 we didn’t want to dine in. We placed a phone order and picked it up. They did not have one of the items that was listed on their website. The fish and chips were marvelous. Big portion. The chicken burger with salad was uneventful. We noticed they were abiding by physical distancing rules in the pub and provided hand sanitizer at the entrance. Noticed staff were not wearing masks.

Friendly service. Decent food. Well priced.

Friendly staff. Good food and menu selection. Portion sizes were somewhat bigger than expected, and definitely appropriate for the prize. We had the Greek wrap and Clubhouse both with fries. I wish I knew the name of the young lady who served us - I would give her a big shout out!!!!

This is a great place to meet with friends, watch sports or just have a cold beer with great food. The food is always consistent and delicious. I wish the owner would put the Boston Bruins stuff back up on the wall

Stopped in here while in merritt for business. Sign in sheet for contact tracing,we'll spaced out seating. Our host was very friendly and polite. Meals were excellent and promptly served to us after ordering. Clean establishment, but could use an update in the future....lost in the 90s lol. All good though,would stop in again for the food. Cheers!

Fabulous spot with plenty of variety

We were travelling through and ended up at this place. We were not disappointed to stop there. There were plenty of choices on the menu. The prices are decent. The staff were amazing and the food was really good. It would be a place that I would frequent if I were closer.

Taco Salad Surprisingly Good

It's not often I order a salad at a bar, but seeing it served at another table I went for it ... Great sized salad with lots of beef and cheese and sauce surrounded by tortilla chips ... oh, and the beer is good as was the service

Went on a Thursday late afternoon. Seemed there were quite a few “regulars”. Good tap beer options. Had wings and sweet potato fries. Wings were good; fries were excellent!! Easy access and parking.
