Lovely food, great service. Very pleased that this was recommended to us. It meant a very small diversion off our route but a worthwhile one.

Another stop on the way from Vancouver to Kelowna. service was a bit flaky that day but sitting outside enjoying a bannock bun with coffee was alright.

Kekuli Cafe & Bannock, Merritt, BC, CANADA ❤️🇨🇦 Don’t miss this indigenous cuisine! Delicious taco choices, coffee, variety of menu items and bannock breads! We ate in cafe and naturally took more bannock to family & friends! Loved learning more about indigenous cuisine.

My friends and I stopped here during a road trip. My friend and I shared 2 bannock buns: 1) baked apple and 2) cheese and I had a latte. The bannock were so fresh and flavourful and my latte was perfect. Service was really friendly...and quick. Their lunch options looked so appetizing too. Next time through Merritt I will try to time it better so I could have a full meal. Definitely worth the stop!More

My second visit here and yes it is worth driving off the highway to come to this establishment. The staff are great and the Elders wonderful. This time I had the Lavender Lemonade and so refreshing and a Cinnamon bannock there on the outside patio...and one for later when home. Great place to stop and rest and slow down and smell the roses.More

Generous portions and outstanding food. Everything was fresh and they have wild salmon as an offering in some of their meals. Loved the fresh Bannock bread and tasty selection of scones.

We ordered some breakfast bannock and desert as well. The maple canadiano coffee was soooo good. Can't wait to try lunch next time we are in town.

An excellent lunch spot with unique menu options - like venison bacon cheddar burger on bannock - that are delicious, not just unusual. I will never enjoy a non-bannock bun again.

OMG - I was craving bannock and we happened by this little gem (traveling from alberta). Best bannock ever. I had the regular kind and my husband tried the cinnamon bun - best ever to both versions! Very good coffee too... Highly recommend

A great selection of bannock to choose from. Sweet and savoury to choose from. Dining available inside but we picked up and took out.

For years Merritt has been a gas up stop only for our family- but today we stopped and had a light snack at Kekuli and without a doubt the best bannock bakery ever. We had savory and sweet. We had plain and loaded. All delicious...and fresh. From now on this will be our destination rather than just a fuel stop. Get off the highway. Go to town. Enjoy and buy a few extra for your road trip adventure.More

My husband and I travel a lot around the province and it’s always exciting to find a new restaurant or café that is unique and meets our food guidelines… Fresh, fast, fabulous and never lukewarm. ... Today, National Indigenous People’s Day, we found exactly what...we look for. The cafe tagline is “Don”t panic we’ve got Bannock” and they are telling the truth. The Bannock is fresh and delicious. Unfortunately I have cut most of the sugar out of my diet so I couldn’t have any of the delicious sweets for dessert, but they looked so yummy. I had the chicken taco and it was fabulous. The Saskatoon berry sauce on the chicken was phenomenal. My husband had the salmon burger and it was amazing. I just can’t say enough about how delicious their food is, the great service and the atmosphere. Highly recommend! It is worth pulling off the highway just for lunch at this unique little Indigenous cafe.More

I did takeout here several times over the summer when I worked in Merritt and can only rave about the food! Everything and anything to do with bannock, whether sweet or savory, is delicious! The Wild Smoked Salmon on Bannock was my favourite item to...take for lunch, although there were a couple times where it didn't last until lunch the next day. But even their Pit House Vegetarian Salad, while appearing bland, was incredibly tasty. Their drinks could use improvement though, as I found that both hot & cold drinks were somewhat lacking in flavour. But their sweet bannocks are the best seller for this place! And the staff are very helpful and pleasant. Even if you're just passing through Merritt, this is worth the 8 min detour off the highway for its unique offerings!More
