We dropped in for a quick dinner one Friday: packed! We are not able to eat deep fried foods much so avoid fish and chips. Instead we had an order of grilled snapper (bland) and a chicken quesadilla which was very light on the chicken. Service was fast and friendly and the neighboring servings of F&C and popcorn shrimp looked... More

Fresh grilled in season Halibut and Yam Fries- nothing better. Our service was prompt and the food prep was to Jo Klassens excellent standard. There is clearly a reason for this being the best Fish Place in the Comox valley.

We were looking for a fish & chips joint and we found it! Other restaurants had fish & chips on the menu, but Jo Klassen's had a variety! We started with a calimari appy and then had the 2pce Haddock dinner. It was very good - not greasy! Decor is not fancy, but we weren't looking for fancy, we wanted... More

Excellent fish and chips for take out or stay in. Wrapped in paper to absorb the oil and stay hot and tasty.

The best fish and chips. Not prententious, a basic fish and chips plus restaurant but their batter is to die for. Wonderfully light and crispy and not greasy. Very reasonable prices too.

We stopped in mid afternoon on a Saturday. The cafe was not high-end but was clean and welcoming. Seemed to be mostly locals with a few travellers. Most tables had the fish and chips so we also gave it a whirl. The pacific cod was perfectly cooked with a thin, tasty batter. Lovely home cut fries that really make a... More

We came into town and treated some family out. We had read the food was good here and weren't disappointed. We'd return.

This place is a fine tuned machine. Friday night, lined up out the door, but got us in after a short 15 wait. They even brought some popcorn shrimp outside for us. I love these guys. Great atmosphere as the place was hopping. It's clear the locals support this restaurant which to me says: "it's the place to be". They... More
