Pub food at its best. It was so good we decided to go 2 nights in a row. My first night I had the iron steak salad and it was delicious. My steak was perfectly cooked just the way I like it. The second time I ordered the stir fry and I swear this was the best stir fry I had in a long time. My colleague ordered chicken parmesan which he loved and the second night he ordered fish & chip which he loved as well. We definitely recommend this place.... you won't be disappointed!

Great Lunch

Upscale pub fare with lots of favourites with local touches. We were provided with a full list of COVID-19 health protocols to be aware of. Food was tastefully presented, very hot and flavourful. Also had a quick lunch meal with other options than the extensive menu. Pricing was reasonable and service was prompt

Good options on the menu

We had a very nice lunch at fluid. It’s a very busy restaurant and they have many good options on their menu. We decided to share a couple of appetizers for lunch. We had a lunch special of flatbread with steak, goat cheese and greens and it was very good. We also shared an order of spicy peanut chicken wings that tasted similar to chicken satay. The service was very good and covid protocols were followed.

Great meals and excellent service

Dropped in for supper after a day of shopping. Great location very close to our motel. Food was excellent - we had the steak frites and the steak salad. Both steaks were perfectly cooked and very tender. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had the creme brûlée for dessert which was also perfect. Food arrived in a timely fashion and both meals were excellent value for the price.

Good service and ok food

My friends and I went off recommendations from hotel front desk that the fluid bar and grill had great food and a lot to choose from from the menu. Well he was correct that there was a good amount of options to choose from, however the food was not very good. Two of us ordered the Jambalaya meal and it was not good nor would we consider it jambalaya. I have had better tasting jambalaya in a microwaveable packet. My other friend had the Ruben sandwich which was good. Would Definitely Not recommend anyone to order the jambalaya dish, try something else if you decide to go there. My fiends and I would probably not eat there again though.

great menu lots of gluten free options for the wife and daughter. I relished the calamari with mixed battered veggies. portions were huge and tasty. the waitress even helped with the 2 year old so my daughter could finish her meal. Big tip earned

Crap dressed in nice clothes

Burgers were overdone and dry. The ribs were charred overdone and dry as my great Grandmother. I paid 90$ for a burnt dinner. I was so tired from my day with my family all we wanted was a delicious meal and a funny movie. The movie was great the food was crap. Never ordering there again Did I mention the food was crap.

Perfect end to a perfect day

Our server was Leah. Her recommendations was spot on. I had tuna lettuce wraps my husband had prawn kung pao. Flavors were fantastic, portions large. Prawns and albacore cooked perfectly. Great experience for out first night in Courtenay. Want to go again tomorrow night.

Great Place to Go whether you live there or just visiting

Great place to have lunch or dinner or just drinks with friends. Great staff. Great food. My favourite is the Kung Pao Chicken but really all the food is amazing there. You can’t go wrong.

Best Food Ever Thank you

One of the best restaurants I have been to. Really kind staff, very clean restaurant and food is amazing. Actually INCREDIBLE. one of the best places I have been to for fries. (I'm a fries girl haha) and if you want real potatoe fries this is the place to go. My hubby's fav is the Kung Pao Chicken.. Will definitely be back many times over.

Overpriced and tasted horrible.

I ordered a beef dip through SkipTheDishes. It was delivered no issues there. But I got the beef dip. It had no au jus. The Beef dip itself was terrible. It was slopped together and the bread was not nice at all. Barely buttered. Very dry. I paid $33 and ate 2 bites. It was terrible.

ok, pub. Limited menu, mostly meat. The service was excellent. My ribs were OK, seafood chowder was not worth the $10. Nice outdoor seating. Can miss this one next time.

Over cooked

Last night a friend took me to Fluid for a celebration dinner. The seating was fine and the selection of drinks- many of them local - was good but my meal was definitely not up to scratch. My friend had a chicken Ceasar salad and I had a simple burger and fries. Nothing complicated. The salad, according to my friend was over dressed with the lettuce swimming in sauce and my burger was so dry it tasted like grilled pressboard. Oh, the bun was toasted - a nice touch - and the condiments - pickle, cheese, etc - was okay, however it was a struggle to choke down the burger. I don't know if they had been precooked and left under the salamander to keep warm for hours on end but there was no juice left in it. I should have pulled the patty off the bun and eaten everything else leaving the burger to go back to the chef. As it was I did not finish my plate.
