We had been here for breakfast several years ago and really enjoyed our meal at the time. And when we returned for dinner recently were not disappointed by the food or the service. Our two families were seated at tables beside one another and our server was excellent, providing recommendations and showing great patience with our boisterous crew of five kids under 10.

We were biking accords town and stopped for a bite and cool one. We ordered the enchiladas and pulled pork tacos. Loved the fresh sauce with the enchiladas and the pulled pork was relish. Completed the meal with Belgian chocolate tort to give us the energy for the 9km return home on our bikes. Service was very good so we will be back. Highly recommended especially with the cider on tap which was blood orange and hops flavoured apple cider from Broken Ladder.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at the cafe. Lots of local and organic ingredients. The meal was delicious (nori, chicken and southwestern bowl) and the serving sizes were generous. Really enjoyed dinner here. They have seating outside in a courtyard and ample room between tables to allow for social distancing.

Several locals suggested this restaurant and we were able to be served without a reservation nor wait. Covid protocols in place. Service was great. Food not so much. I had the spaghetti puttanesca which was overly salty and greasy. My friend had the carbonara that had big chunks of pork belly instead of bacon as advertised. Our companions enjoyed their salmon salad and burritos.

This was the restaurant my wife and I wanted to try out while staying in Courtenay and on the second attempt, we got in before the crowds showed up. Being a Saturday Night, we ordered burgers. I ordered a salmon burger and I was impressed. I never got such a big slap of fresh salmon from anywhere else I had ordered one. My wife ordered the Angela Burger. Who would have thought that brandied poached pears would fit in with a burger -but it does. My wife and I were impressed with the quality of the food and the service. This place is a must to visit and sample what they have to offer.

Wow - that was a 'Dining Experience' service, presentation, taste and texture, dollar value all 10 ÷
From our table we could see some of the orchestrated pandemonium in the kitchen. Organing a set menu meal with multiple sittings has to be an incredible juggle- from our point of view it was pulled off seamlessly!
At the meals end I told our server that my taste buds were in a state of shock. The flavors and texture - out of this world
I suspect it's a gong show to organize, but....maybe again for Valentines?

Our dinner tonight at Atlas was outstanding. It's a no-reservation restaurant, so we were pleased to have our table of 4 seated when we arrived at 6, thinking there'd be no hope Lots of vibe and the restaurant was hopping. Our attentive server Logan was upfront when our orders took longer than expected to arrive, and the owner apologized for a glitch and committed to make amends. So much better for a restaurant to acknowledge a problem and find a way to address it. The food was terrific - inventive, plentiful and beautifully prepared. No hesitation in recommending this spot. We'll be back next time we're in Courtenay.

Came here with clients last week and everyone enjoyed their meals tremendously. I had the Seared Tuna tataki salad with edamame. The portion was just the right size. I asked for coffee with a non-dairy whitener and they oat milk... I was impressed. The decor is nice, location central and the staff attentive.

If you are in the Comox Valley, then you are in luck! Because honestly, there are some gems in the dining industry here that you rarely find in smaller sized cities. Atlas is one of them with an amazing staff and quality of food choices. Their Brunch is legendary, hence the long lineups on Sundays. But dinner is pretty great too and often I go there with colleagues to relax and enjoy a nice and healthy meal.

We love to do new years eve dinner at the atlas. This year was exceptional. The fresh sheet featured Mahi Mahi and it was a beautiful presentation not to mention perfectly cooked. Had a local vancouver island sauvignon blanc which they recommended to round out a perfect meal. Emandare 2017-yummy.

So hard to choose a favorite because they do so many dishes so well. Theme is world cuisine so many options and flavours. Our favorites: Atlas benny (lox, capers on benny's with side of hash browns and fruit), Burrito chicken half order is huge, warm beet salad is great...and so many more.
Kind and friendly service with long time staff. Atmosphere a tad crowded but worth it. Great alternative dairy free menus so good choice for any taste and we always recommend.

On a recent return visit, popped in for lunch. Staff was great, and tables socially distanced - we felt very comfortable eating there. Each had a salad, but the standout was the Hummus/pita - wow, just terrific! We'll be back!

If you like Eggs Benny this is the place to go. Unfortunately, I don’t like hollandaise sauce, so I had one of their breakfast sandwiches. It was absolutely delicious. Made with toast focaccia bread and layered with egg, capicola ham, cheese and sautéed mushrooms. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. We will definitely go back,

We were there for lunch and we both had the Atlas seafood chowder, which is served with garlic bread and it was hot and delicious.
My only issue with it was the portions could have been bigger or the price could have been a tad lower.
If you are waiting for a table be aware if they sit you in their outdoor patio with the heaters it is SO hot that I thought the plastic tablecloth would melt!!! Wait for another table if you’re not in a rush.

We called in on a Friday evening to add our names to the waitlist. The "gentleman" behind the bar rudely told one of us to wait outside, then vented his rage at another customer who unsuspectingly walked in the door while I was there, telling her to "wait outside". On the strength of this "customer" service, I returned two minutes later and cancelled our booking. People waiting outside were also discussing the shockingly rude service from this guy. One to avoid.
