Excellent service from the moment we arrived. Our server accommodated our large group and brought out lots of water refills on a hot day. The pizza recommendations were spot on and our server was open and honest about the food amount and didn’t try to up-sell us. What a gem of a spot! Best pizza I’ve ever had in Canada.

Great vibe and food. Griffin the bartender has created unique cocktails that are worth every penny- exotic. Bar should be flipped to face into restaurant cause kitchen is boring. But don’t lose connection to Griffin.

Service here is great - you can see the owner really has his hand in making sure everyone's meal is top notch. The ingredients are so fresh, and local when they can be. The price is amazing in comparison to the quality of what you get. Pretty stoked to have a place in town with such consistently delicious food. Well done!

Loved gorillas pizza when it was located beside Gladstone. Pizza and a huge selection of beer, what could be better! Have been to the new location a few times. Pizza is always the best. A month ago the beer selection was limited and no ipa. Nicholas said the next time to phone ahead and he would make sure there was an ipa. Went on Friday after a game of golf. Fortunately there was on ipa on tap. A few minutes after we were seated saw that Nicholas left and about 10 minutes later returned with a canned ipa and glass from Gladstone. Now that was service at its best!

Thank you so much Marilee! We do aim to always have yummy beers around to go with the food, and IPA is definitely well loved at the moment. Yes, if you have something special you want let us know and we will always do our best!

An open concept - single room, visible kitchen to the rear, concrete floor, small bar to the rear. Loud, active, and fun captures the vibe. Interesting wines, cocktails, and beer.
Staff made a point of being engaging - jokes, anecdotes and all - and simply exuded enjoyment despite being short staffed and dealing with a rush of customers.
Menu was focused - try the clams as an appetizer, something different and delicious. Array of creative pizzas with unique non-tomato sauces, a terrific dough for the thin crust, and a pillow like crust.
If I lived in the Comox Valley, this would be my "go to" place. I'll be back.

Such a great little find. The pizza was fantastic, we had the fungi pizza, loaded with mushrooms of all sorts and the crust was crunchy and thin. A great assortment of craft beers on tap, lots of local options.

The pizza was great, although would have been even better if there were tomatoes on the margarita pizza—as we thought margarita pizzas all were made with tomatoes . The sauce was delicious and the crust was excellent. It’s a nice spot with a great vibe. Beer is a bit on the expensive side and could be colder. It seems like they may still be working out some kinks, but overall good and we will definitely be back

Thanks for the feedback! Our margarita pizza still doesn't have tomatoes, however we've definitely worked out most of the kinks and I hope you've seen that in action.

My first experience was at Gladstone’s Brewery, and the pizza was famous. Then they pulled out to open a shop on 5th Street (not 4th as noted on site).
First impressions when walking in to the new place was the team did a (cheap) home Reno. Simple and inexpensive, I get it, it’s a new venture. But they have had plenty of time to refine the offerings and delivery.
Sorry to say and I mean it, I loved these guys... but they have embarked down the wrong trail.
Limited offerings, poor quality, and over priced product.
Courtenay has limited choices and they could have captured a much needed niche, yet the proof is in the delivery.
We will never be back and hope someone talks to the owner and tells him to focus on the quality and not his hair cut. Dismayed!

Finally made it to the new location at 444 5th St, Courtenay. This used to be on our date night route for pizza when it was on 4th St so we have missed it when it moved. But the upgrade was worth it. Great atmosphere and the Clams were out of this world. Can't say enough about them (in fact this may be my first review of any restaurant). Drinks and pizza were amazing as always.

We were looking for the Guerrilla and then saw the brewery right next door, this was a great mix. A sun set on their outside sitting with a wonderful mix of clientele. We chose burrittos and the mushroom one was packed. This combined with 2 flights of tasting beers and we were very happy.

This place is located right next door o Gladstone brewery. Business is busy. The thin crust is so good, crisp and a little chewy. Just perfect. They use local ingredients and unique combinations of toppings. I do wish the margarita pizza had a bit more cheese on it. The cheeseburger Eddie was really good with carmelized shallot, cheddar and bacon mayo . Sadly forgot to snap pics before we dug in. Perfect if popping in for a beer at the brewery
