Enjoyable Visit

Although the menu is somewhat limited, the food was very good. I had a steak done to perfection and my partner, the Thai Curry Bowl. Our server was friendly, quick and attentive. The kitchen was a tad slow but if one was enjoying the excellent view and good conversation, it would not have made a difference. As the restaurant is one the back of the Inn, it was a bit convoluted to find it. As I understand, the owner is fairly new and is working on doing the best for the restaurant. This could be the premier place to go in the city for location and view, so we encourage them to keep going in their direction.

Great Thanksgiving dinner.

Great Thanksgiving dinner turkey nice and tender. Pumpkin soup great and served hot.Dinner rolls also served warm. Wine prices reasonable. Amazing view of the ocean and Quadra Island. No whales today but lots of birds.

Just popped in on a beautiful night. Deck was empty. Views were beauty. Service was great. Food was good and beers were cold. Awesome

Awful….left after 90 minutes with only 1 meal served…..terrible

Only 4 tables on patio when we got there but took 15 minutes to take drink order, 10 more to get it another 20 to take order. Food took 45 minutes. My meal was cold…steak….awful and tough. Potatoes no sour cream, asked twice for it never got it . Husbands pasta was amazing though….never got my meal back they said they would fix right away. No offer for refill on drinks unless alcoholic…..left hungry, cold and unsatisfied. Paid 50.00 for a pasta and a 2 beers. Skip it. If go…bring sweater for patio as sun goes down is cold. View is great though. I hate leaving bad reviews but it ruined my whole night and don’t want anybody to lose a vacation night

Do not come here if you want to sleep

We stayed here on a British Columbia sightseeing trip. The room although dated was okay, view very good. However we did not get much sleep. Slamming doors started at 630 am and continued constantly until after midnight. I think a lot of workers stay here and the entrance to the hotel has a very loud door. I object paying $25 a night extra for the dog room when he doesn’t make a sound. He was actually the only one that got a good nights sleep. I would have slept better in our truck.

Thank you so much for bringing this matter to my attention. However, we did discuss these issues on the phone and I provided you with an apology and a refund for the amount you asked. Based on your comments, our door has now been fixed. On a side note, pets are put in pet friendly rooms only, as some people are very allergic to pet dander of any kind, and as these rooms require additional disinfection, we charge $10 plus tax per night. Food not hot and items wrong

The best thing about dinner was our waitress. Initially a VERY loud group over took the quiet ambience because their rented room was not ready. Next my fries came out barely warm. Next the pork belly bowl came with cold rice. Next a specific request for more tartar sauce was completely forgotten. Next two orders were brought out wrong. Then the correct chicken bowls finally arrived when the other 4 people had finished eating. The chicken was unflavored and dry. The rice on one meal was SO overcooked it could not be cut at all. Both these meals were returned as uneatable. This dinner was meant to be a celebration for our 45th anniversary. We have never been so disappointed in an overall meal experience ever. The only reason the review got 2 stars is because the waitress did all she could to salvage the situation for us. New menu (not the same as on website) with a new chef. So very disappointing. Will take serious consideration before we ever eat here again.

Delicious Thanksgiving Dinner

Last night we had the best restaurant turkey dinner I've ever tasted. Everything was homemade, including the cranberry sauce, and it was REAL turkey. Generous portions, tasty pumpkin soup to start, and delicious crème brûlé flavoured with cardamom for dessert. And...the best ocean view from a restaurant in Campbell River! We will definitely eat here again.

Dated restaurant needs to improve service

Service slow. Waiter no idea of gluten free options even after going to ask in kitchen. Caesar salad and chowder ok. Mixed salad ok. Could not provide oil and vinegar relying on prepared tubs of dressing. Pepper pot despite being full did nit flow. View of water nice. Overall not a great experience.

Excellent food and a fabulous ocean view!

Recently renovated, this long-standing restaurant in Campbell River is sometimes overlooked. But it shouldn’t be. The food is exceptional, and the views are really hard to beat in this community. On the third floor, you are provided an unobstructed view of discovery passage with its bustling Marine traffic and sealife. You may be lucky enough to see a whale. Friday nights live music, on this occasion, we were entertained by Joe Abbott, who was amazing. Service was fast and friendly, all around a very enjoyable visit.

Don’t Go

Went to Blue Oyster patio for happy hour. Ordered 2 draft beer, were told amber ale was not available. When waitress brought the order, it was the lager that was unavailable and I was served an IPA. My husband ordered a Molson Canadian bottle and they were out of that too! There had been a wedding 5 days previously. The day before the August long weekend and they were out of basic beer????? This is the most scenic restaurant in Campbell River. The patio is lovely and the potential is enormous. Will not be back.

Gorgeous Water View!

A great Happy Hour with a nice selection of drinks and snacks. We shared a delicious Humboldt squid dish as well as a flatbread. The serving staff were lovely, friendly and attentive. And, its the best water view in town. We will definitely be back. Thanks!

Beautiful Place

On our search around town for a great cocktail list, we ended up here. The view was amazing. There wasn't really a cocktail list but they have a rooftop patio looking over the ocean. We will be back to try the food another day. The menu looks great.

Ribs qere not done right. , price on Ceasars salad was ridiculous and small. Even my 8 yr old was surprised on portion. Worst ribs I have tasted in my life.

Waterfront Lounge For Evening Drinks
