Their Calamari, put faith back in my wife for one of her favorite dishes! The halibut & seafood salad were both spot on full of flavor! Service was quick & friendly

No vegetarian or Vegan options. In these times it is a popular easily-stand-out thing to offer. Small menu, and limited portions for the price. Service was good, pleasant staff. Good location for tourism. Yet that is not enough for us to ever return or leave...a positive review. We were celebrating an engagement. Left feeling like we wasted the dinner on a very poor choice of restaurant. No table cloths or nice settings here. Not for a romantic dinner or couples setting even though the location would be perfect for this. Not a family restaurant category either. So we were left wondering what clientele are they catering for? As peoples dietary requirements and tastes are so varied, we were stunned they could not even offer more selections.More
Great food and great location. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. This is one of our favourite spots when visiting Campbell River.
Was invited to go to a wedding dinner/reception and was so disappointed. Beautiful location but my food was cold (fish), was never asked if I wanted a drink from the bar , then had to flag someone down just to get coffee. Dinner was cleared...and we had to wait for a long time before plates were brought out for the cake My partners beef was well over cocked and was given the heel which was very tough and dinner was totally cold as well! I had such great hopes!More
We had a great experience here. Jake greeted us and quickly found us a table. Sarah was our server and was professional and efficient with a super great, friendly personality! We shared an entree sized Caesar (loved it!), my hubby had oysters and I had...planked salmon. He enjoyed BC wine and I enjoyed a mojito. We shared a key lime dessert which was yummy and served in a cute wide mouth half pint Mason canning jar. The setting is great overlooking the water and watching the ferry and marina traffic. It was super noisy when we arrived but got quieter later. A popular place! Parking (free) right next to the building.More
Thoroughly recommend. We stopped for lunch on a very hot day. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was delicious, so a few days later we returned for dinner and the experience was first rate too. It was again hot and we had...driven a long way; I inadvertently ordered a dish I wasn't expecting, but the manager was more than kind. He recommended an alternative meal which he thought I would prefer and had it prepared freshly for me, and he didn't charge me for the first meal. This was above and beyond our expectations. I am surprised to see here that this restaurant has had mixed reviews. We couldn't fault the staff, the food or the beautiful waterside location.More
Can highly recommend the food here, we ate twice during our holiday. They were very good as my mum ordered the wrong meal by mistake and they happily exchanged it for the correct one without a fuss and no extra cost. Loved looking over the...water as we ate too.More
If you expect a good dining experience overlooking the sea after 9pm go somewhere else, the tables and chairs were packed up around us as we ate our desert, having been given the desert at 20.15 to be told the kitchen closed at 20.00!
Varied menu. Friendly staff. I had the chowder with Cesar salad. It was delicious, and a reasonable price
After eight hours on the boat, we appreciated the calm of Quay West terrace. Facing Discovery Passage, we took the grilled calamari and the shrimp roll followed by a shared chocolate lava cake. All was very good and served quickly. Smiling and efficient staff, reasonable...prices.More
As the name indicates, its right on quayside, facing east. It’s at the top end of the main street, 200m south of the Quadra ferry terminal and just on the edge of the very small park. There are plenty of spacious tables inside and a...ramp to the left of the main entrance for disabled access. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. It was so good here that we had 2 dinners and 1 lunch here. Food is fresh and they will vary the contents and sauces to your requirements. The shrimp/prawns are absolutely fresh - you can tell by the flavour that they are straight out of the ocean. the first occasion we rocked up, I had the shrimp tacos - 3 of them and they were delicious. The salads were huge - my wife struggled with hers on the 2 occasions she had them. We only had soft drinks and unlike other places, they do not automatically offer up iced water - you have to ask. We didn't have desserts. Highly recommend it for any time for friends, family and casual dining.More
This was our first visit to Quay West restaurant and hopefully won't be our last. The Spicy Prawn Tacos were delicious, and not too spicy, with a generous amount of prawns cooked to perfection. We were there with out-of-town guests, and everyone enjoyed the food,...the great view and friendly service from Stephanie.More
We popped in for lunch and I had the prawn tacos. The prawns were very nice, but they were absolutely drowned in sharp cheddar and gobs and gobs of mayonnaise, to the point where the dish was unpleasant to eat.
May go back for beers on the patio this summer but not for a meal. I had one spoonful of the seafood ? chowder left the rest. The Cesar salad dressing was fine but the lettuce was getting a little old. The server was so...inattentive, only saw her when she took out uneaten food away. When I called for a reservation I was told. that to be out by 7 pm we should book a table for 5:30 as they would be very busy........mmmm not so much. They deducted the price of the soup $9 as compensation but still felt the need to explain that it was not “clam chowder “ but their own special recipe. This restaurant needs a lot of work to get back to where it was before.More
