We met new friends there on a Saturday evening. The pub was incredibly quiet, however we enjoyed our visit. A table left just before us and we left right after them, before closing time. Walking to our cars, two staff member outside commented that it...was about time we left. I was shocked and appalled by this behaviour. I brought this to the attention of a manage and judging by his reaction he doesn’t care. I have to ask, if this is how they treat customers to your face, how do they treat you and your food out of sight in the kitchen?More

We had a nice cocktail and beers. Also enjoyed our evening meal but I do not know what we have eaten anymore. Sorry, too long ago.

Service was good. Setting is nice. Fish and chip order was disappointing though. Chips were excellent but the fish was overcooked and lacking any fish! Mostly dry hard burnt batter. The cook should strive for better.

Good local tavern with excellent staff. Menu is wide and varied. Different specials every day and good selection of drinks. Great ,lovely atmosphere and we were able to get a table without booking every night.

Despite being very busy, we were able to get a table on a Friday night with no booking. The service was friendly and relatively quick. We had the chicken wings, oysters, fish tacos and poutine and we would recommend them all - the fish tacos...in particular were great!More

Food was mediocre to say the least. Vegetables in clam chowder were undercooked, looked like it was scrambled and rushed cooking. My friends ordered fire trackers oysters, that looked like clumps of heavy breaded substance, no oysters to be seen. At the end the waitress...told us if don't leave a tip, she has to give her own money to the kitchen stuff. Very disappointing experience. Absolutely not recommended.More

Had lunch and drinks here this afternoon. Great food and good drinks selection. Sat outside in the sunshine. Maddie was our waitron, she was brilliant, was round all the time to check if we were ok . An infectious laugh and personality. Loved our few...hours there, was happy hour as well !More

We had two meals here, lunch and dinner. Both meals were excellent, staff very friendly. The restaurant was full both times but they still served us in a reasonable amount of time. Restaurant is very clean nice open floor plan with patio.

We get there at 7:15 and the hostess tells us that the kitchen closes at 8, so we more than likely wouldn’t get any food. She had the biggest attitude. We thought that we would take our chances on the food. We should have left...because it literally take 20 minutes for anyone to speak to us and 45 minutes before we got our wine and waters. As we were waiting, I watched the hostess turn away a lot of potential revenue. I hope that the Riptide can stand losing so many potential customers, because she turned away a lot of people. My wife’s salmon came out raw and my came out burnt. Please don’t visit this place because it seems like they don’t need the business. Not worth the time and definitely not worth the price or headache.More

Sat outside on the terrace for a couple of drinks after a whale watching trip. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the drinks were delicious. A nice place for a quick stop

Was here last year and enjoyed it. Came for dinner and drinks with friends tonight and I am purely disappointed. Service was average but my biggest complaint was the food. Ordered the fajitas at $23 I think and I got enough pork for two small...fajitas and a handful of wilted lettuce. No cheese, no peppers and no onions you would normally expect when you order this dish anywhere else. Everyone else enjoyed their food but portions were small and prices were high. Won't be back.More

My wife and I had lunch at the Riptide. Good pub food. Great service. Casual atmosphere. We shared Hali-Bites & Chicken Wings. No hesitation in recommending Riptide.
