We ordered pork dumplings, ginger beef, cashew chicken & shrimp fried rice for takeout. Everything was delicious and portions were large, The dumplings were exceptional but be aware that they are under "pastry" on the menu, not appetizers.

Well over twenty years , they still in business , lot of location in mainland , I find these location is one of the best in food quality and services , small parking lot , dinning room is not that big , but clean ,...comfortable , my uncle and aunt last night in Vancouver before going back to the Island , they love the authentic Szechuan food , menu have a lot to choose from , you can request the dishes to mildly spicy , the lettuce wrap one of the best I had , lettuce very crispy , the spicy green bean is flavourful but oily , the ginger beef is delicious , lot of beef and MSG , I love their crispy Seafood Chow Mein , over all , quality and service not shabby , not pricy at all , we all enjoyed the dinner very much , for sure , if I am in the area again , I am coming back for the Seafood Chow Mein for sure , delicious .More

Terrible. Not at all like it was before. We ordered 4 items and all were inedible; and our takeout order was wrong.

Vancouver has over 600 Chinese restaurants, but this has got to be one of the best. WQere were in the mood for spicy Szechuan and thi place had some of the best I've had. Very small with mostly loyal locals. Reservations are not required, advised....Stars include the Hunan Beef and Gen Tso's Chicken and also the Singapore Noodles. Full portions and appetizers are huge. They have half orders on the entrees so unless you are starved go for them since they are very generous. Very Impressive for a small hole in the wall place. Very happy we went. On our 4 day stay in Vancouver we went twice.More

The food here is good and price is reasonable. They do have luncheon specials. We had dinner and had left overs for lunch the next day. It's a small place but the service is fast.

For seriously good Szechuan, this is the old standard. The food is always tasty, super fresh, arrives sizzling at the table and the service is super quick. A many many years favorite (going on 25 years), and their other location at commercial and 12th is...also good. If you don't like Szechuan (not sure why not), they've got all your standards as well.More

Our family chose to do takeout and ordered 7 dishes such as honey garlic sparerib, spicy calamari, mixed seafood vegetables. I was slightly surprised to see that food came in those containers you get at the Chinese fast food of 2 choices combos. Let’s put...it this way, we probably got more food if we dined in. The total came to $107. I would rate the dishes on average 2.75 out of 5. A couple of the dishes looked the same but with a slight change in the veggie. The decor rated 4 out of 5. Looks clean and nice from the renovations. There’s complimentary parking off to the side. If I could, my rating is really a 2.5 star out of 5.More

Chongqing was the venue chosen for our lunch recently. We (the usual threesome) arrived about 1 pm, and fortunately, were able to catch one of only two vacant spots available in the restaurant’s small and busy parking lot. The restaurant - though rather small in...size, provides a decent selection of both booth and various sized table seating arrangements, and was naturally-bright, clean, and tidy. I would call it “comfortably busy” when we arrived, still offering a good choice of seating - we chose a booth at back, alongside the inside wall (and thought it had a cozy and private ‘feel’ to it). Once tucked in place, our server was right there with a place setting needed, copies of lunch & regular menus, and soon after, at our request, with mugs of hot tea, and glasses of water. Service was pleasant and friendly, and helpful (as required) throughout our stay. We ordered solely from the ‘Lunch Special’ menu, and shared four of the listed ‘C’ dishes (priced @ $10.95 each) — Lettuce Wrap, w/Duck — Seafood Chow Mein, w/pan-fried (dry) noodle — General Tso’s Chicken & Rice — Stir-fried Green Beans, Mushroom, w/Snap Peas & Rice. The hot tea supplied without extra charge. Service from kitchen to table was very timely, with all dishes arriving quite promptly, in generous portion sizes, warm, and looking good. Preparations were tasty and flavourful. Ingredients in each, quite plentiful, well-prepared, and distinctly-seasoned - veggies ‘crispy’ tender, noodles not overdone, chicken and seafoods moist and tender. All dishes were definitely seasoned quite ’spicy hot’, but none overly so (a little close for comfort for me with the beans & such, but ok otherwise, and quite ’perfect’ with all dishes for the ladies!). We enjoyed our dining experience and lunch tastes at Chongqing. We had been ‘out & about’ for quite some time (for us ‘youngsters’) that morning (w/shopping and an appointment), were ready for this lunch, and it did not disappoint.More

Generally I like that heat that comes with Szechuan cuisine so we decided to try takeout from Chongqing, I can tell right away that flavours were there. Delivery was super quick. Both duck with plum sauce, and sweet and sour fish were pretty tasty with...just the right amount of heat. Maybe it’s just other Chinese restaurants spoiled me with big portions, but I thought that portions were a bit small for the price charged.More

Their lunch menu is a good deal. Skip the appetiser & soup though and just go with the main course. It's pretty filling already and you can take the rest away if you wish. Prices are reasonable. DO NOT have their Xiao Long Bao. Definitely...not up to standard. Some of us ordered from the regular menu and not the lunch menu because it's more authentic. The lunch menu has a lot of deep fried dishes. Service is good and they're nice and efficient. It's right across from the mall so if you don't like the food in the food court and you want some authentic Chinese food, this is the place.More
