We are new in town! This restaurant does not disappoint, great service, excellent food not a huge menu, but a great selection of awesome food. Unfortunately a night ruined. Arrived at the restaurant at 6:45pm. Drinks arrived on time and same with the charcuterie board but took the “chef” over 2hrs to make a Thai bowl and a surf and turf. It was made clear to our waitress was made...aware a few times that I am very allergic to mushrooms and my plate came out with mushrooms and my friends steak was blue rare. Plates were sent back and within 5mins we magically received hot plates but took them 2 hours to send in the first place. The owner came by and asked how our meal was and we were honest that we were disappointed. I’ve had fabulous meals here in the past but tonight wasn’t acceptable. His response was that maybe “this isn’t the right place for you” and RUDELY turned his back mouthing us off under his breath and walked away. During this tough time you might want to treat your customers a bit nicer that still want to SUPPORT your business, regardless of the meal with great or poor. I wasn’t looking for a free meal but the unprofessional attitude was uncalled for and we will never return.More

We had a great experience here. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the ambience is beautiful. I had the beet salad and pecan chicken. Fresh and delicious. I would order it again as the flavors were great. However I felt the price...for the amount of salad didn't reflect the portion. It was $19 for the small with pecan chicken and $27 for the large. I ordered the small as I couldn't bring myself to pay $27 for a salad. I realize the price reflects the fresh and delicious ingredients you use but honestly thought there could have been more greens. My husband had the burrito with fresh tomato soup. Delicious! All in all a 5 star experience!More
Tonight we ordered food from the Heartland Cafe here in Okotoks and it was excellent! During this pandemic we’re all fighting through it was such a treat to be able to get high quality scrumptious food made with special care. My hubby was envious of...how delicious his sweet onion burger was and wished he could make his bbq burgers taste as good. My beet salad was as beautiful as it was delicious and the creamy cheese pasta was a perfect combination of dairy delights! The spicy chicken wings were tasty tangy tidbits too! We will definitely order from here again and when the pandemonium settles we’ll go for a lovely date night meal and be pampered by Laslo and Viktori in their fabulous restaurant! Thankyou! My husband and I went here for lunch and didn’t know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised at the ambiance and decor. The food was great and most of the menu items could be ordered gluten free. Both the cream of asparagus and cream...of potato soup were gluten free and delicious. Our waitress was great and did not rush us. The music was background so we did not have to yell over each other to have a conversation. We will definitely be going back.More
Brought my family for brunch today at the Heartland Cafe in Okotoks. What a lovely place but unfortunately the plates were meagre and not so good flavour. Omelette my husband had for $18 two eggs and very little filling with one piece of toast. My...eggs Benedict, asked for soft eggs, hard and the ham was so thin, couldn’t taste it. $18 came with two tiny potatoes cut up. A fruit “salad” one half of a strawberry, piece canned pineapple one piece melon. Still hungry after that small portion!! My daughters salad came covered in ranch “house” dressing and was inedible. She changed it for the house soup which was delicious, again a very small cup!!’two grandchildren under five shared a less than filling grilled cheese. We were charge automatically an 18% Tip because we were 6!! All in all not a good experience and we will definitely not be returning. I’m just very surprised that the place was quite busy. Sad, because I like to support my local community. Don’t go if you’re hungry!More

Make a reservation to ensure you get a table and if you have any special reasons for your visit (birthday, anniversary, etc). There are a number of stairs...to get into the seating area. The servers are friendly and able to give you recommendations on what to order. We tried the Spinach Gnochi with Salmon and the Rib Eye Steak. Seriously...the Rib Eye was amazing,,,great seasoning and prepared just as requested. The vegetables were a great side as well with the meal.More

We love eating Here when we have guests in town. Ahh where to start. At lunch they have an amazing chicken and brie sandwich on house baked foccacia. It has a savory date spread then generous amounts of roasted al a minute chicken are covered...in brie then baked until molten. The real clincher is the fresh Tart granny smith apple slices added to the sandwich before slicing. We had ours with a very delicious roasted beet salad. For desert the raspberry tiramisu Tart tangy and sweetness combined with the stark Contrast of the bright red raspberry puree soaked Sponge and the mascarpone layers. Absolutely best place to eat south of Calgary. And the best part is the chef prepares everything they do not even buy salad dressing. They make it!
