We are locals in our 30's and decided to eat at Old Grouch's for the first time. We each had a burger and shared the huge plate of fries for lunch. We can honestly say it was the best burger and homemade fries that we have had in town. This restaurant is overlooked due to its old appearance and location... More

Delightfully strange homespun Canadian restaurant with burgers, perogi, cabbage rolls and grilled cheese loaded with butter. Worth the trip to Drumheller! Lovely couple running the place 31 years.

On our way to Calgary and we needed a place to have lunch, so after a quick search on the net we decided on Old Grouch. The review we read said "don't let the exterior deter you" and that was spot on. The place does look a little downtrodden but we decided to give it a go...we're very glad we... More

This place looks like a dump from the outside. Cheap letters for advertising in the window etc.. The inside is slightly more encouraging. Limited menu, strange decor and average service makes you want to second guess your decision to eat here. We decided to stay. I ordered a burger, no cheese and I requested a toasted/warmed bun. It came cooked... More

Even tho our cousin googled restaraunts in drumheller and this was the top vote, we weren't sure it was even open when we pulled up! But it really was and we're so glad! Run down in a beautiful way , there's lots to look at while you're waiting. They make two kinds of holubsti (cabbage rolls), both with meat and... More

This diner is in a little broken down house on the side of the road on the corner you turn on to get to the museum when coming from town. It is owned and run by a spicy older couple and the food is great. Like 'Old Grouch' said "It won't be fast but it will be good'. Homemade fries... More

The place is very different. Lots of stuff to look at. The service was good. I had a burgher and fries, coffee and a cinnamon roll. The burgher was good I enjoyed it. The cinnamon bun was awesome I really liked it. I would come here again.

Ineresting experience. I was a bit wary of eating here at first because of the appearance of the restaurant. But the food was very good of its type. The restroom left a bit to be desired in terms of cleanliness. Service though was very friendly and efficient.
