I won't lie - the first time I went there, I wondered, 'What's a place like this doing in BROOKS??' It seemed like it belonged more in a trendy neighborhood in the big city! Then when I shared a meat platter with friends that first...time, it was literally love at first bite. It was some of the best meat I had ever tasted, and the platter was a great way to sample most of what they have to offer. I've returned a few times since and am discovering how much I also love the bakery. Some of the items are a little on the pricey side, but you get want you pay for. If you want cheap and mass-produced and not-fresh, just head to your local Tim's. If you want made in-house and fresh and TO-DIE-FOR, then eat at this bakery!! My only complaint is it's not the most visible place, but it's only a block east of the beaten path. A sign on the side of the building facing 2nd St. W might help attract more drive-by traffic. But for you locals, it's in 'the old Sears building.' And for the record, it's open on Sundays again.More

Where to start. The brisket was amazing, the pulled pork mmm so good, and the chicken delicious. Don't take my word for it, come check it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed. Just wish it was open on Sunday.
