Four of us went for my birthday treat and had a great time. The food was excellent especially the foie gras appetizer. Melted in your mouth like butter. My lamb shank and my partners salmon were both succulent and cooked to perfection. Only down side is be prepared to pay. Dinner for four with wine tax and tip($500) Even though... More

The most delicate, flavorful and refreshing crab cake : unmatched compared to its deep fried counterpart. The special attention given to every detail is what makes this place the destination for an exceptional dining experience. Vivianne and Didier, thank you for communicating your love of food and people with such passion and dedication

Seven of us enjoyed a wonderful evening at L'Express Gourmand last night. The meal was delicious from start to finish. We loved it so much we decided to try all of the homemade desserts. They were the perfect close to the perfect meal. This was by far the best meal we have had in the Laurentians. Very memorable. We will... More

We read the TripAdvisor reviews and decided to try this restaurant for the first time on August 18th. We were welcomed by Vivian who was very friendly and gave us excellent service all evening. She was very knowledgeable about the food and helped us to choose the best wine for our meal. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the... More

Early dinner on a sunny Sunday in Ste. Adèle. We were welcomed by Viviane, the owner's wife. She is very joviale and very easy to converse with. She explained in detail the different meals offered and explained the slow cooking process to achieve meat tenderness. I had a foie gras with a glass of sauterne. I still have the taste... More

We arrived at this small restaurant on a dark and rainy night this past July 17th. We had made a reservation in advance. A truly exceptional meal, right from the quality of the ingredients to the melt in your mouth flavours! We were warmly welcomed and the atmosphere allowed for us to have a much needed quiet romantic meal for... More

We knew we would enjoy the meal after reading the TripAdvisor reviews, but it was even better than we anticipated! Part of the experience is the on-going, very comfortable conversation with Vivianne; she gives the background and sets the scene for the wonderful dishes prepared by her husband Didier. Her descriptions of the food and the great care and time... More

We were visiting and staying in St. Sauveur, but felt that most of the restaurants there are crowded and a bit overpriced because of the tourist trade. We found that this restaurant was the perfect antidote , and St. Adele is only 15 minutes away from St. Sauveur! Previous writers have described the slow cooked deliciousness of the meals prepared... Everything about l'Express Gourmand is about comfort. Whether it is their dishes cooked for several hours at a heat not exceeding 110 degrees Fahrenheit or the cozy feel of the place, this place will charm you. The restaurant has only 24 covers so you know they make it a point to make every customer happy. Vivianne is a great host... More

Astonishingly great gourmet French food. A meal we will never forget… And as verification of that comment, I believe we will even remember every dish we had!! All food is prepared from scratch by the owner chef. Many entrees are slow-cooked to tender, melt-in-your-mouth perfection… The room is charming and comfortable. Our hostess (wife of the chef) was so engaging... More
