Location was on the main street, convenient. We used the patio which was very nice. Bloody Caesars were great. To eat, we had mussels (marinires) and pasta, both were very good, flavourful and the portions were good size. Service was knowledge, friending but, a bit...slow due to I think short of a staff member. I'd go back!More
We had a good light meal, an excellent soup and imaginative cold plate. And the best Spanish red wine I ever had, and the service was good too. We were able to sit outside.
Horrible service and terrible staff that obviously do not want to work. Made a reservation to watch the soccer, and was told the kitchen was closed indefinitely, and to basically leave. Still can't believe how bad this place was.
Best bar and amazing owners… we celebrated our friend’s bachelorette party and the service and music was top notch 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Fantastic service with very friendly staff! No reservation needed. Our group walked around looking for a place to eat and have some drinks. All kitchens closed early. St-Michel was very understanding and up to make quick food (poutine for the pregnant ladies! Our server made...us feel welcomed and comfortable, cracked jokes, and all around great time! Nice terrasse with outdoor fire heaters to keep warm :)More
We first looked at the menu outside and noticed that when we got inside it was different didn't have a couple items. We both ordered smoked meat sandwiches with poutine sides. Smoked meat sandwhich was good but bread to meat ratio was a little ridiculous,...tiny piece of bread with a huge chunk of meat is fine but when attempting to eat it, I'd prefer it in a little bit more gripable form. The poutine though was a very generous portion very good fries were just right. Only thing was ice tea was a little over priced almost 4$ for an a small glass of ice tea. When the beer was like 3$ more and twice the size :s Overall good food , but some prices we a little high vs low for something's.More
Great Bar-Resto in Magog, QC. Corner of rue Principale and rue Merry. Lots of seating! Great food, and lots of menu choices. Really helpful, pleasant staff. Very clean restrooms!
We both had fish and chips. The fish was very crispy and well cooked. The fries were also very good. A generous piece of fish and lots of fries. Good value and good service and nice views of the street and lovely autumn colours and...flowers across the street.More
A 3-minute walk from our B & B on Merry Nord. Don’t be fooled by the casual category, the food was better than roadhouse or pub offerings. Our waitress was charming and attentive, and brought English menus without being asked. We started with a ½...pitcher of red sangria, which was a bit on the sweet side, so we ordered a glass of house red to add to the pitcher and it was just what it needed. We started with ½ salads – one Caesar (which was good but not outstanding) and one house (which was very good, all the ingredients were very fresh and there was a real variety of veggies represented). My husband had the chicken fajitas, we give them a 9 out of 10. Portion was very generous (4 tortillas) plus lots of filling, with good guac on the side. I had the crab cake, it was offered as an app so there was only one served on a small mound of arugula salad and a lovely aioli, the plate was beautifully presented. I’ve had crab cakes in Boston and this was as good or better. If I’d known how good it was, I’d have asked for 2 and happily paid extra. We had made reservations because many restaurants in Magog are closed Mondays (and some Tuesdays as well), but it being off season, there was really no need as there were lots of tables. This was our first dinner (stayed 4 nights) in Magog and is tied for our favourite. If you’d like more info on restaurants in Magog, see my reviews for Le Memphre, L’Etiquette and Bistro Chez Sirano. I also reviewed our B & B – Au Coeur du Magog.More
Outdoor patio...curtains down, heaters on today. Pleasant waitstaff. Quick service. Delicious fajitas with nicely flavored chicken and lots of onions and peppers. Served with guacamole, cheese, sour creme, and salsa.
We arrived for lunch. It’s a pub style place with a large bar and a little bandstand. The server was very pleasant and spoke English and of course French. We broke a glass and she was very prompt in cleaning it up. The pizza was...quite good. All Made in house and excellent!!! The beer selection was also excellent.More
Fresh lunch menu, amazing deals. Simple and cozy. The staff is friendly and always great for the view.
Dropped in for a quick snack and drinks. Service was fast and friendly. Had the calamari and a pitcher of white sangria. Very good.would go back for a whole meal.
Let's talk location...located on a very busy intersection, you would think it good for business, however, the traffic noice wasn't so they crank up the music instead. OK if you enjoy their choice of music. 😒 We ordered from the lunch menu..I ordered the crab...cakes with salad and seafood ceviche. Enjoyed both very much. Others were pleased with their meals as well. value for money...questionable. they did have a place inside to play pool and inside area to eat as well.More
