An absolutely wonderful dinner. Each course was a culinary adventure.
We started off with the Mini Feuilette and the Smoked Salmon. Every morsel was great. Continued with the Ceasar Salad and the Salad Normandie. Perfect. The high points of the meal were the main courses:...an exquisite Porc Cutlet and wonderful Scallops. The Pit Caribou Rousse is a great local beer. Pascale was a great and helpful server.
The table d'hote is an excellent deal.
So good that we returned for another dinner 2 days later!More
We were staying in another hotel that didn't have its restaurant during COVID so we ventured out and found this gem. Gorgeous dining room, incredible view of Perce Rock, impeccable service. Elegance that felt worth the money.
We had breakfast 3 times as we were staying at this hotel. It was generous and fresh every morning. We especially enjoyed our dinner there. Food was good and service was outstanding. We got nice tables were we could see the Rocher perce and the...water which was a lovely treat. I recommend this place for breakfast and dinnerMore
For the last 50 years, our family have been patrons at the restaurant of Hotel La Normandie in Perce, Quebec. Unfortunately, our latest visits there were incredibly disappointing and made us seriously miss the attentive and hands-on management
of previous owners such as Michel Boudreault....Indeed for the exception of a few well-intended waiters and the splendid location on the Perce shore, the quality of the meals is on a steep decline. This is not a culinary destination that we would recommend anymore. Fortunately for all the Perce summer visitors, other high quality dining establishments can be found nearby and Perce remains a destination worth visiting.More
My husband and I spent two evenings in Perce, Quebec.
Made a reservation for dinner in person at reception, the day before. Witnessed receptionist write down.
Following evening when we arrived a few minutes early, we were asked to go to bar. After ordering a...drink, we were advised by the bartender that "No" reservation for us was listed, but, one would be honoured. Miscommunication between us and bartender resulted in us waiting a half hour longer before going to dining room.
My husband's lobster was excellent, but, steak I ordered was sub par. Very disappointed.
Excellent service by serving staff in dining room.More
Memories of an exceptional experience many years ago prompted our return to La Normandie. We were not disappointed. I may run out of adjectives before I finish this review .
From beginning to end, the tempting descriptions and then quality of the food were amazing....For appetizers..the Filo d'escargots and Baluchon de brie et poireaux were exceptional -- but more delicious other choices too.
You are in the Gaspe,on the ocean , you should definitely take advantage of the fresh seafood. Especially for the main courses. No offence to meat or poultry eaters.
The Scallop and goat cheese Wellington was outstanding.. but my favourite was the Feuillete de homard was exceptional. NO I did not eat both .. but could have easily been tempted had my partner not been equally enthusiastic.
Very tempted by dessert offerings - especially the cheese selections- but that night .. unusual restraint.
Well disciplined and knowledgable servers made the dining experience memorable .
And watching the sunset .WOW !
Breakfast ..after such a delightful dinner.. was equally delicious . I'm glad we had an early dinner the night before .
If you are in Perce, this is an opportunity you should not miss.More
