The Fournand Bakery is located in the small town of Percé, in Quebec’s Gaspé Peninsula. The bakery was established in 1994 and has grown from humble beginnings to a busy and dynamic café offering a range of produce. We picked up sandwiches twice during our stay in Perce for picknicks on the go They were very tasty and the buns were so fresh. We found the staff a bit impatient with clients. It is a very small snd very busy bakery and cafe and the access during covid makes the experience to pick up food ectic, confusing and stressfull. We would return nevertheless for the food

We are greeted by a ray of sunshine, we want to be her friend so much she radiates, personalized service. I had a delicious coffee made to my liking. Oatcakes are insane, I wait until it reopens in the early morning to go store me before leaving this corner of Paradise. In short, we must go!

The bakery is fantastic with a wonderful selection of freshly made breads, pastries, quiche, sandwiches and pizza. The staff speaks only a little English so be patient. The owner is very arrogant and cold, but the food makes the experience worth it.

We're happy you enjoyed your food selection at the bakery! Most of our servers were able to converse freely in English this year, but you may have chanced upon one or two who were less confident in English. Despite at least 4 people working, it took almost an hour to get 2 coffees, a pastry and a croque served. The lady server was efficient. The man server jabbered and gossiped incessantly while people were waiting in the hot sun. The coffee maker was totally zoned out and seemed to be somewhere far away. The Almond Croissant was good and rich. The Croque Madame was decent. The coffees (Latte and Cappuccino) were nothing to write about.

As we indicate on the door, we have a severe shortage of workers this summer. This, plus the high volume of tourists (happily for us (-:) and our social distancing (which we take seriously) means there often is a long line outside and considerable wait time. We have witnessed great patience from some of our clients, and appreciate that enormously. All the best.

One tall woman keeps a friendly smile on her face, takes orders, delivers food outside to people, prepares food, heats food, clears tables, returns heavy bins of dirty dishes to the kitchen, does everything, and the guy behind the counter? Rarely smiles, seems to barely know how to work the cash, doesn't help out much and perhaps is the owner? Typical, n'est-ce pas? Inequality everywhere.... They are understaffed, as are most businesses these days, so she is doing the work of 3 employees while he is doing the work of less than half an employee... Very busy bakery, but nice little place where you can find good pastries. (Creissants, croissants with almonds, chocolatines, etc.) desserts also obviously bread of the place. The coffee is very good. Well located right in front of the park where you can go for a walk afterwards.

I went with my family for coffee & some snacks. I had the worst experience in that place the guy behind the counter was so rude and arrogant. He was making faces and mocking us when we ordered. I’m not sure if he is the owner but that guy shouldn’t be behind the counter. Avoid that place!!!! The food wasn’t good either.

Delicious pastries and great coffee! I went here for breakfast twice. I got the fruit and yogurt and a butterfly pastry, blueberry turnover, strawberry turnover and raisin danish. Really good home baked and so buttery and delicious. It’s quality food and they have nice outdoor seating also. Don’t be afraid of the line as it goes quickly and it’s worth it. I’ll come here every time I visit. They had so many choices that all looked delicious it was hard to choose! It’s open early too which is great! Cash only or local debit cards.

We are sorry you felt disappointed by your experience at the bakery. I can assure you that our croissants are made only with butter: in fact our visitors often observe and comment on our bakers working with a great mound of butter on the baking table!. Though not ideal, it can be the case that a few end pieces of dough can have less butter evenly distributed - perhaps this happened in your case. I apologise and do hope you'll come and try the produce again.
