We were impressed with the quality of food and quantity--more than we really needed to eat. It was a hot evening and the restaurant could have used more air movement. Interesting to dine in a barn transported from Germany

350 year old building from Bavaria, Germany, brought to Kimberley BC in 1989. We serve Bavarian specialties as well as regional favourites. Our most popular menu item is our Bavarian Feast group menu and our Schweine Haxen -braised pork hock(24 hour pre-order). We prepare everything in our own kitchen including our fresh baked bread, desserts, and sausages. We are strong believers in supporting our local economy and work with growers, diary farmers and vineyards in our region. We are proud to support our industry employing a fantastic staff of 18 teaching them our values of food preparation and customer service. We invite you for an evening at The Old Bauernhaus Restaurant. Guten Appetit.
