The restaurant was essentially a take out window. The food was served in disposable containers. The prices were high. Dining was outdoors .Better meals can be had in St Andrews. I would suggest dining elsewhere.
We ate lunch here last week- under the shade of some very old trees and overlooking the bay. The food was absolutely delicious. We had fish cakes, and a lobster sandwich and then rhubarb crisp for dessert. I liked the ambience and casual feel. Its...very peaceful and possibly the best place for lunch in town.More
Fabulous food, fine wine, wonderful staff and gorgeous scenery all add up to memorable evening at the Niger Teahouse! Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, they have managed to make you feel welcome and totally safe with the outside seating spread all over their front lawn under...big shady trees. It just doesn't over look the beautiful Passamaquoddy Bay, it is literally on the bay. At low tide you can walk on the ocean floor while waiting for your meal! Or take a lovely stroll afterwards! It is unique and breathtaking! No visit to the Bay of Fundy, is complete unless you have experienced the Niger restaurant. Please make a reservation so you will not be disappointed. You will not regret it!More
Another great meal in a special place 😊 COVID adjustments well planned and add to the charm of the location: takeout window on deck easy to use and tables on the expansive lawn create an ambiance you won’t find elsewhere. Haddock and salmon delicious and...rhubarb crisp yummy!More
I have food allergies but the kitchen was flexible and my lunch was very good. I had a toasted lobster sandwich and salad. The day was sunny and I was able to sit outside with a fantastic view of the water. The recommended dessert was...fantastic! A rich and flavourful flourless chocolate cake with real whip cream! I ate alone and sat in the sun reading for over an hour and a half and never felt rushed.More
We decided to have lunch here for the first time upon recommendation by a friend. We LOVED it!! We both ordered the soup of the day which was a roasted cauliflower and leek soup. It was to die for. They are also known for a...very good seafood chowder.
Our mains: a lamb burger with a salad for me, and a veggie burger with salad for my husband. Our lunch was perfect! We may go back for supper.
You can eat inside or outside. Great views of the ocean!More
After seeing the comments on this place, was surprised at how average it all was.
There seemed to be little effort in the dishes, no dressing on the salad, no lemon with the seafood; it was all very bland and under seasoned
The desserts were...just lazy, ingredients out of the freezer
Shame as the situation is nice, on the seafrontMore
We like to ask people in towns we visit where they like to eat. Everyone we asked gave us the same answer...Niger Reef Tea House. It's a small restaurant with personal service from the owners. The menu is limited and changes often. It was outstanding...the day we were there. We sat on the deck and enjoyed the amazing view across the bay.More
