Stopped in with my wife for lunch. My wife's fish and chips were excellent - crispy and not in the slightest bit greasy, I had liver and onions with mash, veggies and gravy - very fresh liver and not overcooked veg. Also excellent and friendly service. Excellent value.

This is one place that is well worth looking for. Stepping through the doors you are warmly welcomed by one of the owners of this family owned business and feel transported to a little piece of Britain. The atmosphere is relaxed and homey and the food is reasonably priced and tasty.

We went there for lunch. We were greeted and served by two lovely older English women. We had heard good things about the liver and onions, which my husband ordered. He said they were the best he's had on the Island. I had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich which was, to my surprise, was not very salty, which I... More

Popped in for breakfast. It has been years since we'd visited this restaurant/Cafe and nothing has changed. Looks as if the place cld do with a bit of an uplift as it looked very tired. The service was with a smile and very attentive but the food was just OK. I know this cafe is a favourite with the locals... More

My husband and I went for breakfast there yesterday, I've eaten breakfasts there before but this one was over the top with the delicious pan fried potatoes. Golden crusty outside and soft and melting inside. Such a generous serving that I could share with my sweetie and stop his stealing off my plate. My sausages and eggs were good too... More

I've been a huge fan of this restaurant for years. Amazing food, healthy portions and the friendliest staff. The food is always consistently great, and the amount you get wont disappoint. Is and always has been the best. Locally owned too.

Friends and I went for lunch recently and had a very enjoyable experience. This is home cooked food like mom used to cook. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and peas with a lovely brown gravy. Another lady had the homemade squash soup and one had fish & chips. We all enjoyed our meal.

Atmosphere of a restaurant goes beyond the tables and chairs, at Cockney pride the ladies who run it bring cheer to each customer. The basic surroundings allow you to concentrate on the comfort food being served. I indulged in a genuine steak and kidney served with mash taters, gravy, a mountain of peas plus carrots.Tasty, comforting. My partner had the... More
