A pleasant place for dinner; a good menu, sort of innovative wine list, interesting beers and Newfoundlanders serving. Only a pity that I didn't go back on my second night

In the restaurants defense we were r super hungry when we sat down to eat. They did a great job of departing bus tour from regular reservations which we really appreciated. Service was very good and quite attentive but food was only average. Probably wouldn’t...recommend to others visiting the area.More

We ate three Dinner meals and three Breakfasts here while staying at Sinbad's. Excellent food and spectacular service. Staff are proud and aim to please. Highly recommend while in Gander.

I have been to the Mystic 4 times in the past 2months. Meals were delicious but service is pretty slow- even if there are few people in the restaurant.
Thank you Patricia for your comments. We appreciate the feedback and your concerns have been taken to our management team. Thank you so much for your continued patronage and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
We have been staying at Sinbad's while waiting for our household effects to arrive, so its been almost 2 weeks. The dining room has great service, the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. We had some really nice evening meals- salmon with partridgeberry sauce,...steak, mussels, lots of really good local fare , very elegantly prepared and presented. The buffet breakfast that is included with your stay is good. Hot and cold buffet: bologna, bacon and sausage, sauteed mushrooms and tomatoes, pancakes/waffles/french toast, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, cereal, fruit and yogurt. Decent coffee, juices or tea are always offered as well. A couple of times a week the chef does special egg cups with things like sundried tomatoes/spinach, cheese/chives, these have been a highlight during our stay . Really nice for a change to the usual offerings when you have been staying as long as we have. Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant!More
Thank you for your comments, Vanessa. So glad to hear that you enjoy your meals at Mystic.
Presentation, food, and service were all exceptional. Flavoured butter and fresh baking on the premises! Not recommending the coffee.
Thank you for your 5-star review. We really appreciate it!
This restaurant was top notch. I had the opportunity to have late night drink, breakfast and a fine dinner here. With every visit I was given a very warm welcoming greeting and sat down in the lower level by the fireplace. Food was very good....The Strawberry Infused Beef Tenderloin was out of this world. Great combination of flavor. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options. Food was great and service was even better. Thank You.More
Thank you so much for your feedback. So glad you enjoyed dining with us. The strawberry infused beef tenderloin certainly is a favourite among guests.
Lots of choice . Love the bread roll with the flavoured butters. Appetizers and main courses flavourful and piping hot. Not a fan of the dessert tray with the displayed non appetizing looking desserts. Service is slow.
Thank you Shelley for your review. We really appreciate your feedback and so glad to hear that you enjoyed dining with us.
Staying at the hotel after a long journey four of us decided to eat locally. Glad we did. Service was top class from very competent and well trained staff. Food was really good with all of us agreeing on that point. My onion soup, steak...and sweet were as good as anything I have eaten in Canada in the last ten days. Very good and the perfect end to a long day. Thank you.More

This quaint little restaurant offers the best food! Portion size is perfect. I have been here many times and have never been dissapointed! My favourite place to eat in gander. It's a little on the expensive side but perfect for "date night"
Nice quiet place, good service, good food. A bit over priced, but overall a good experence. The dining room is a bit on the dark side and not updated.More

We had dinner at the Mystic dining room in Sinbads Hotel, Sept 22/'18... she had the bacon wrapped chicken dish with summer salad ap and it was great. (- yucky sides) However.. we both agreed that the whipped potatoes for a side weren't great...just like...boxed instant stuff.. muddy...the carrots in sause were nasty, period. My french onion soup tasted average (*even though it wasn't hot).. but I did like that it was served in a large open bowl..( not the typical "lava pit" onion soup vessel.) The service was good.. My big gripe.. my Rib Eye pepper sause steak.. it was one of the poorest cuts of meat I've eaten in a long time. Long n scraggly.. meat tasted ok (*sause was too mustard based) but I had to leave a lot of its gnarly scraps & fat etc..very thin and wide for a pricy 10oz rib eye. I did politely advise just as we were leaving for the cooks to recheck the steaks and why.. They should provide comment cards. So.. $110 for dinner before tip?? It's the Bistro next time for sure.More

Stayed in the Hotel from Sept 14-18 2018. The Buffet breakfast was amazing and one morning they had 3 bus tours. Staff was very friendly and asked what Wanted to drink. I ordered Orange Juice and Coffee. The buffet all 3 days was amazing. Yogurt,Granola,...pastries,toast, blueberry pancakes, waffles, home fries, mushrooms & cherry tomato's scrambled eggs & bacon & sausages. free refills of coffee. The staff were consistently good all 3 days. 5 stars to the cooks and dining room staff from me. Thank You.More
Thank you so much, Nicholas, for such an awesome recommendation. Our buffet breakfast is a favourite of guests and the locals and so glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Hopefully, on your next visit to Gander, we will see you again!
