I could have chosen anything on the menu - it all looked good! Portion size is perfect and the food was presented with great care by the chef. The service from Nicole was excellent and could not be faulted. Everyone in the party enjoyed their meal. If your experience is like ours, you will not be disappointed!

Terrible service. We arrived at arrived slightly after 8 pm, and we could not get served because the cook didnt want to do his job. He has one job. There was about four people in the restaurant, and it closed at 10. Extremely disappointing, being not from NL and reading all the great reviews.

This really is the ONLY restaurant in Gander. It won't win any rewards for ambiance, but the food is just wonderful. Service is fast and friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

Very tasty food with some unique dishes. Great staff and lovely decor. My only criticism is that the restaurant can get a little noisy as the dining area is one large room.

Went with a group in the middle of a blizzard, they kept open for us on a miserable night. Food was decent- a set 3 course menu for $35, with some interesting choices- not usually what I expect for dining outside of St. John's.

With limited options, it's not hard to choose the bistro. In a place where 'down home cooking' is something you go to a restaurant for, this is a gem for someone who apppreciates good food and finer things. It is not dressy, pretentious or expensive, and it does offer heathy portions, reasonable prices and a great atmosphere. We have had... More

Bistro On Roe was certainly a treat. The food was fantastic and beautifully prepared. The ambience was contemporary, decorated with a splash of colour by the beautifully displayed traditional local art. All four partrons in my party were all satisfied with our meals. I had the lamb shank for my main with a side/starter of beet salad with goat cheese.... More

Nice place with beautiful paintings on the walls. We had 6 people for dinner and they had no problem accommodating us. Service was very good. I had the salmon dinner and it was excellent! Couple people at the table had the pork and were raving about it. Definitely going back when I'm back in Gander!

Had the lamb shank which was scrumptious. Service was great. Love the bread! There were 7 in our party and everyone was very pleased with their meals.

The best food in the area. In an area where good dining is difficult to find this place has done it. Good food. Good wine selection and great service. Keep it up !!

Thank Greg R
